Can't be long before these cheap monitors start coming with HDMI sockets, surely? Even budget laptops have this connection now, no excuse for monitors not to have it included.
#6
£5 cheaper than before - an awesome deal made even better

as this is hdcp I assume you can just use a converter to get a hdmi signal minus the sound?

Exactly or buy a DVI to HDMI cable which are a couple of quid on eBay.

back at £89.05 now? still a good price.... but 77.99 would have been better!

Does it come with a dvi cable?

I got the Dell 21.5" LED Full HD and it came with just the VGA cable.

Great find, almost as soon as scan put it's Today Only list up. BTW. You have to add to your basket from the Today Only list, otherwise you click for info and are given the regular prices.

Just got one of these - but got a strange problem. When PC goes into sleep mode, the monitor doesn't go to energy saving (amber light) --- it just displays message 'no cable connected'. This happens on two Vista machines, but on an XP notebook it goes into energy saving mode!

I'm a bit confused, because my BenQ and Fujitsu moniotors work ok in Vista and switch to stand-by. A quick search of the net shows others have this problem, but nobody seems to have a solution.

On the downside, I don't like the colours as much as the BenQ LCD --- and it has an external power supply, which would have put me off buying one straight away, had I known.

Can anyone recommend/point me in the direction of some fairly cheap speakers or some audio device that I could use to get sound with this monitor?
e.g. if i connected to a virgin media/sky box, what speakers would have the connections to get the audio from one of those sources?
Thanks

It does come with a dvi cable, bought one the other day and very impressed for the price

Heat added as this is stil a great deal, but thanks for the external psu info - a deal breaker for me as well.

Seems to be a good price, voted hot, can't decide between this and the BenQ G2222HDL Monitor? Its £22 less for the Acer, but is it worth the extra for the BenQ?

FYI..

DVI = HDMI quality

The only difference is that DVi does not carry sound, where HDMI does. So for this monitor, there is no difference at all.

Ive just ordered this due wed. I wasnt even looking for a monitor but this just looks an amazing bargain(£78 free p&p) and a 21.5 acer is better than my current 18.5 acer.
