For £179.99 you can get the same spec with a built in DVD player,
reviews seem very good.

Im using one of these as my montior at the moment.

I like it but im sure i paid about £150 then got £50 tescos grocery voucher back (it was on HUKD)

We've also got 1 with the DVD player in the dining room... it plays absolutely EVERYTHING you can throw at it.

Bought this telly a year back, goes fuzzy when you turn it on sometimes, good picture otherwise. I paid same price but got £50 of grocery vouchers, so worked out about £100.

Paid £140 for a HD 22" Technika about a month ago, with built in DVD player

Gone back up to £160 now

I have the lower resolution UMC one with built in dvd and can't really fault it in my bedroom, its over a year old now and hasn''t given any grief.

Have had one of these for a while now as a PC monitor and its great!
Glad to see it back to this price too as have been recommending it to my friends since I got it

Assuming it's the same model that I got with the grocery voucher then its a very good TV with no problems from mine so far. Also in standby it has a dim red LED which is much more acceptable in a bedroom and the ultra bright blue ones their older models had!

I have this with DVD, its great! Biggest issue was a single remote for Sky and this. They sell one online via the sky ebay shop or you can google jp1 and do it tye hard way - as I did!

Having got it for 76 quid last time (and using it now as my monitor) anything else looks expensive...wish I had bought 2 or more last time.

great tv,crsytal clear picture, especialy when hooked up via the hdmi cable to the ps3 for gaming.I to got it when it was on offer the other year with the £50 shopping voucher.

I bought this television last year and I am very pleased with it well worth the money- (94.95) with 50 pounds in grocery vouchers and Topcashback discount.

TV Licence Required Yes

Only if you use it to watch TV. If you just watch DVDs or play games on it, you don't need a license.
#14
Not at all sure. Think theres better deals cropping up all the time on eBuyer.

I bought this one about 12 months ago great picture and decent sound, its a nice size for a bedroom as well.

Doesn't matter. If it has a tuner you have to pay!

Incorrect, if it has a built in tuner capable of receiving a TV signal then you need a licence. Doesn't matter if you use it as TV or not.

"You need to be covered by a valid TV Licence if you watch or record TV as it's being broadcast. This includes the use of devices such as a computer, laptop, mobile phone or DVD/video recorder."
http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-if-you-need-one/

A UK television licence is not required to own a television. A licence is only required if you watch live television programmes.

wouldn't say its that good of a deal

I bought two when they had the £50 grocery voucher off each purchase. I wish I had bought more. Not worth £150 though.
#21
I also purchased this TV when Tesco had the £50 grocery voucher offer. I also received around £5 quidco and also got £10 discount from customer services because this TV did not have built-in DVD player but was advertised that it has a built-in DVD player.

So, worked out to be £85 for me.

Have had it for nearly a year and still going strong.

Would only recommend if bought near the £100 mark.

All TVs have a tuner - either analog or digital or both.

You are both wrong on this matter.

I have this TV and use it for my Xbox 360. Its coulour and sound are superb. Just wish it had a socket for headphones so my midnight playing didn't wake everyone up!
#25
If you use it to watch live tv you need a licence, if you just watch videos DVD's or play games on it or use it as a comp monitor you don't need a licence.
Doesn't make any difference whether it has an analogue tuner or freeview tuner or not.
