2100 Microsoft Points £14.99 @ Argos

Was having a look around for some points and this looks to be the cheapest price about for both online and the high street, which I thought was good for those who may need their points without waiting for delivery

EDIT: 4200 points also available @ £28.99, found by Empwan in post #3

If you haven't already posted this as a deal, you should! The link didn't work for me, but doing for a search for 4200 showed them up fine, just reserved the last one in a store next to work for picking up on Monday! Cheers! (Where's the rep button gone?!"

Best highstreet price so far I think?

Super hot, makes a nice change to be able to walk into a store and get equal to the best online price available.

Heat added, thanks OP!

Tempted to get another one for the Alan Wake DLC but I've already got a spare card and some points left on my account at the moment and I find it too easy to spend these things.

If there are some of you that can’t be bothered to go to their nearest Argos store, Shopto.net offer an instant delivery service on their 2100 XBOX Live Points which are currently priced at £15.99, plus 4% Quidco (64p) tracked for me when I bought some points 10 days ago, bringing the total down to £15.35.

You are likely to save the 36p difference between the Argos and Shopto deals by not using your fuel travelling to your nearest Argos.

Deal made even better, brought a new Xbox Slim yesterday from Argos and got the £5 off any game voucher, decided to try it on this not thinking they would accept... They did so made the 4,200 points £23.99! Thanks HotUKDeals!

What charge are Microsoft charging now?
Is this for the Xbox that is totally free with the PS3?
Or is another addon/extra/cost that Microsoft has found a way of charging for?
Why do people listen to the adverts and not the techies/professionals :( ????
#21
PS3 charges are coming

No, you can't get Microsoft points for free on the PS3. I'm surprised you needed to be told that.

Before posting a reply to something it's usually a good idea to read and make sure you have understood it, lest you look like an idiot.

These are MS Live points to be used for purchasing content on Xbox Live - same as adding cash to your Playstation Network account.

Unless Sony are giving out free credit on PSN for purchasing the various pay content they offer then this sort of product is not "totally free with the PS3" X)

None of that makes any kind of sense, what are you even talking about? If you're meaning what are Microsoft points they're the equivalent to the Playstation Network Cards that you buy to add credit to the Playstation Network wallet. You spend them on Xbox Live arcade games and the like just like games on PSN...

Coming from the PS3 side of things, can anybody with a 360 and PS3 tell me how this compares to says £20 on PSN for £14.99 is it about the same?

1)It's not an extra charge
2)Nope
3)These are to purchase DLC like you do on the PS3
4)Haven't got a clue what you are going on about there?

Bought some. Thanks Op!

I don't have a PS3 but taking the Stimulus Pack for MW2 as an example, that cost 1200pts which would be about £8.57 if you bought this card. If it's £10.79 of PSN credit (which I think it is) then that would be £8.08ish if you got £20 for £14.99.

So it's a pretty similar deal. Hope that all makes sense :p
