Not a bad looking machine that.

Direct Link?

Couldn't find on their website?

Like the look of this, specs seem ok too. Might get this!

No stock anywhere near me though.
#5
The direct link is in the first post....

Looks the same as this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/DMTECH-22-HD-LCD-built/dp/tech-data/B001RIC6UG/ref=de_a_smtd so, on the face of it, a genuine reduction

Hmmm.....none near me either.....

Did that, ordered a banana plug and got £15 off. So £185 delivered.

Hot.

Not sure about the manufacturer of this one!
Bigpockets.co.uk were selling Polaroid 22" freeview TV's for £165 a while back (I have one - excellent)
This isn't for me (and looks gross!)

Looks a bit chunky. 9cm deep. Need to see it really, or read some reviews.
#10
wow, you think 9cm is deep for a lcd, i think u need to get out a ruler!
#11
didnt think it was that good a price at first glance but a divx dvd player is a nice touch. if you dont have a 360 or any other network based media sharing it's a nice way to get a lot of video files from your PC to your TV. assuming it works well, i've had a divx dvd player which was terrible, so would be good to read a review first.

Whoops! My bad...misread the dimensions...

Ok, I might be a bit of a turd sandwich asking this but is there no integrated speaker?

It says: sound output mode head phones... It looks like it has one and I'm very interested in this but having to hook up some other speakers would make this useless for me.

I was thinking exactly this after i ordered it. Checked the spec on the Amazon link above which states:

Nicam Stereo (Audio 2W per Channel - 2Channels)

I would presume that the unit has integrated speakers, but couldnt say for sure :?

At 2W per speaker the speakers aren't going to sound too great; you will notice the poor quality. This can easily be fixed by plugging in a cheap set of 2.1 computer speakers though.

Almost certainly in the bottom section. If you blow up the second image you can see the grilles (just).

Nice one, never spotted that, obviously!

You can tell I'm not a shrewd bargain spotter really

As for the looks of the thing, I love the design, reminds me of my own TV I use for Gaming/PC:

Where do you get their money-off vouchers. I have tried all the vouchers available at various sites and all of them have expired. I have subscribed to their news letter but did not receive anything.

Not sure whether it will work but i was given this code to use:

5FWX-B942-HB1F-YABH-YAJ8 (£15 off £200)

Have to say this looks a good unit! DMtech are an established player (Korean) in the small/medium sized tv/dvd combo field.

The user review on Amazon (15 Feb 09) gave a great writeup.

Might get one of these for my sis as she wants a bedroom unit with freeview and dvd. Doesnt appear to have USB so all content must come from the DVD drive, fair enough.

Lets see if they have any stock!
HOT from me.

EDIT: why do I care that there is no local stock, this can be ordered online. Now can anyone get that £15 off code to work? Blimey that £15 off code above seems to work and I didnt even take the order to £200. Total price: £184.99.

only 2 watt speakers ,i like the the look of the tv but i find the sound a bit like the sound of a portable tv through the back vents i can see they are only 2watt speakers so no base.and a low quality sound but has got terminals for externial speakers.good price for what your getting, but i'm a fussy sod and i find it difficult to live with but for the price it's very good (swings and rounderbouts)picture is superbeb if the sound was the same "but perhaps thats me being fussy"

Two others reviews on that link mention sound (and I quote) "Sound is excellent" and "crisp clear sound".

I guess its down to the individual, but sound quality is not a complaint I have found on other DMtech models or reviews. They are nicely built units from my experience of examining them on various occasions.

to get the vouchers you subscribe to their newsletters. at the top of mine theres a link which when i press it it credits my account with all the different codes. when you go to buy it your vouchers should be there on the checkout page.

Also 4% cashback with Quidco and 5% with Topcashback.

Arrived today and looks really good in the flesh, feels solid too.

Easy set up, decent picture through built in DTV. Pretty ****** viewing angles as was expected, and also the sound is pretty tinny but again it was to be expected.

Havent hooked it up to the PC yet so cant comment on HD yet. Still hot.

when i hook it up to my computer via dvi/hdmi as a second monitor it wont go to native resolution of 1050*1680 the nearest i can get to is 1080. my graphics card does the proper size resolution and i know it because my first display is a deawoo 22" which works fine at 1050*1680 but on dual setup i cant get the native resolution of the maplins display and it looks fuzzy because of the wrong resolution.

Edit
Got it working in the end by going into nvidias control panel and setting up the proper resolution. picture quality great and videos look better on this than my original deawoo monitor

Anyone else have much backlight bleeding on theirs? It might be because i havent got mine at the proper viewing angle yet (waiting for wall mount to arrive) but on dark scenes theres quite alot of backlight bleed going on.
