Damn this is good, like most deals... If only i had the money.
#8
I got the 15.4" version from Richersounds for £119. Good enough for the kitchen, bedroom etc... Need rooftop aerial in most cases.
#9
I used the 19" version of this, for a couple of years, as a TV/Monitor. Not the worlds best as a monitor, but overall I thought it a good setup. Since I paid £270 I find this a great buy.

one of my holiday cottages

if you can afford more than one i think u could have gone for a better tv
#11
Only 700:1 contrast ratio and no mention of HDCP put me off this but still not a bad deal.

Quite good reviews http://www.reevoo.com/reviews/mpn/polaroid/tlu_02241cu

I bought a panasonic one from Tesco Direct a few weeks ago (after seeing it on here) but its gone back as it wouldn't even switch on! Quite tempted by this - heat and rep added. Thankyou OP!

Yes
VESA 100 x 100 standard wall mount system... (so amazon states)
#19
I bought the white version of this. Very nice little TV...the program guide is not great...but I am happy with the picture quality. It saw all the freeview channels straight away.

BigPockets take the best liquidated, bankrupt and ex-catalogue electronics stock on the market, and brings it to you at incredible prices. We sell everything from laptops, MP3 players to speakers. Don't forget we're also home to the infamous "Bag of ****

How do we do all this? Well, we work closely with global brands and distributors to find daily deals that cannot be beaten online. Our stock is dynamic, fast moving and at rock bottom prices... don't hang around if you want to catch a bargain!

What's more, our 30 day no-quibble guarantee gives you the peace of mind when ordering from us.

Where else on the internet can you be sure of quality, at such low prices? "

I would not describe mine as new. The box was in a real state when it arrived...and i found some very minor scratches on the frame of the TV...although you have to look very close to see them. I paid £170 + P&P for mine too.
#23
Right magma, but it is still as new?
#24
I want one of these BUT I want one with a built in DVD player, you folks no any good deals out there?
#25
i expect it to be as brand new in condition... not bothered if the box is a bit battered
#26
With mine, it was obvious that the unit had been out the box as the packaging inside was ripped and taped back together. As I said, mine had some very minor imperfections on the TV frame, but the LCD screen was in perfect condition. If these are from liquidated stock, I don’t see why they would have been taken out the box...maybe they are customer returns

It does.
#34
Polaroid's website says it has a digital tuner.

Just ordered one, been looking for A 19" TV for a while that can also be used as an occasional monitor. This better than most prices for a 19" & I'm getting an extra 3 inches!!
#36
Can anybody confirm if the sockets on the back of this will allow the TV to be installed flat on a wall? All the 22" TV's I've seen seem to have sockets on the back (i.e. pointing backwards) - the LCD mount I have for my current 19" TV is only a few mm deep so I really need the sockets on the side or bottom (as they are now)...

Thanks.

I've been waiting to get hold of Samsung SM2032MW 20" for ages, cheapest being around the £170 mark. However this seems pretty much on par, if not better. Any comments on this versus sm2032mw?
#38
antispam ure like me, I was gona get the samsung tv from richer sounds for 179 but ive just ordered this one with the ufo cd case to get free delivery. The way I see it is ok its a POLARIOD but if u get an extra 2" and freeview built in so you dont need another box to plug in.

Ill let u know what its like when it arrives

The sockets face backwards, but look as though they are recessed.

Thanks - I've had a quick look at the manual but its a bit hard to tell. Not worth risking - all the other sets with recessed sockets that I've seen look like the cables will stick out too far (especially SCART, HDMI etc).

Thanks anyway, the search continues....
