How can you go wrong at 37p :w00t:

Might be store specific though :)
#3
Wow, shame I've got all the screwdrivers I need. Great deal.

Though why is it at 37p? Seems an odd number, do they think they wont sell if they put the price up to 40p or something.
#4
£2.50 in my local, I got it last year at 50p though!

hot deal if you can find it!
#5
£2.50 @ my local :)

It is a good deal value wise but faced with a tough screw these will just cam-out and damage the driver and screw.
Voted hot purely for value.
#7
Not in my Tesco but I'm not sure what you could use these for anyway .... :-(

A good start would be to tighten or loosen screws :whistling:
#9
Probably left handed versions for that price ! :)

Agree with the first part but not with the second. They look like a total waste of 37p, plus the time you'll waste trying to use them only to find they might as well be made of crushed silver foil.

I haven't tried these of course... it's just that I spent the weekend at my dad's house trying to fix things with his tools, and the screwdrivers he had looked very much like this - utter rubbish.

Might be good for stabbing someone perhaps. Mostly likely yourself when the shaft breaks or something.

Crap that costs 37p is not good value by any definition.

Got some of these in Wilkos, come in handy for opening tins of paint.

I haven't tried these of course

Therefore your opinion is worthless.

For using around the house, changing plugs and building flat pack furniture you can't go wrong.

Voted Hot.:-D

Exactly, good to keep a cheap set in the house, good for light work and occasional use.
#14
Hey, don't dismiss this deal, the packaging would make a great jelly mould.

Great for eating breakfast with, weetabix in particular.

Bargain - i bought these about a month ago for a Laminator Emergency (don't ask...work laminator, leaves & glue, unruly teens = me & colleague in car Tesco carpark taking WHOLE laminator apart - including rollers and everything!) BUT they do the job!!! They are really good value i think ....well i thought they were good for £2.50 so for 37p....ACE!

:-D
#18
Do they sell chocolate screws to go with the chocolate screwdrivers ;)

Yeah, but did they manage to put it back together again? :-D

I have a set of snap-on (not strap-on..... different forum) :whistling: screwdrivers that look pretty much identical to these (as many screwdrivers do) - are they utter rubbish because of how they look?!?

For light use these will be an excellent bit of kit, and if they're not, take them back to tesco and threaten them with trading standards if you don't get your 37p back!!!!! :-D

Heat added for these tools - just don't listen to the tools who are criticising a really excellent deal!

and be better than the original screwdrivers:w00t:

is itme or is this part of Cheryl coles dress from Saturdays X Factor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

I posted a similar deal a year or two ago, for a similar price... and people were going on about quality then.

As a reminder ... these are 37p!

Mine are still going strong and have been used since posting that original deal, so at least 12 months or more. No ruined screws, hand wounds, arm gashes, botched jobs or misery. Well worth the 37p for your average DIY'er.
#24
So if instore only why does it say tesco.com on the original post?!
#25
if you use these once, they have paid for themselves at this price, Voted HOT,Hot, HOT!
#26
Got these a few months ago at 98p and thought what a bargain !

I am the sort of person who can never find a screwdriver and I usually end up using (and ruining) a knife in frustration.

There are plenty of different sizes and I have used them for several jobs including the usual things, tightening door handles and putting stuff together. They are great for the price and do the jobs just fine. No screws or screwdrivers have broken and they do exactly what they are meant to do. I have even prised up floorboards with the big one and it is still going strong.

It was the only option when I picked the retailer when submitting the deal.

Another use for it - instead of a jelly mould, use the packaging, fill with tar and silver foil, and make your own Cheryl Cole dress. Although she probably paid less than 37p for hers.

Love the banter, but I think it is a good price for the screwdrivers if you just want a cheap set for odd jobs. We've had a few sets from Poundland over the years that have seen us through various house moves and kitchen refits, which I guess will be similar quality. We tend to lose them long before they break.
