£34.99+£10 top-up = £44.99 but there's £15 cashback through Quidco now and you can sell your payg credit for around £6 so effectively it's gonna cost you £23.99.
For 24 quid you get:
Android 2.2 (upgrade to 2.3 available) mobile phone with GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, 3.2MP camera etc. Simple phone, nearly as good as Blade, Vivacity and Ascend G300 ;))

UNLOCK - around £5 @ ebay through a code (IMEI based).

Last time it was in ASDA in-store, it got over 600 hots, now it's on-line.

I bought two when they were £40 each I think at Asda - for the kids. Very nice phone for the money. Hot from me :)

I got one when Asda had them on offer for ~25 quid. It's ok for the money, but the back is a bit creaky and dust has got between the front glass anf the corners of the display :(

Where can you sell your payg credit? Most of the companies are longer processing payments...

Got one of these from asda when they were £19 & are excellent for the money. But nowhere near good as the Ascend G300(Huawei U8815).

I would like to know as well, searched on google and it seems most have stopped paying due to abuse of system

Picked one up from asda when they were 19 quid. any criticisms at hese kind of prices are churlish TBH. A great little phone for the money.

Great if you want to keep track of someone's car whereabouts. Just leave in the seat back pocket, run Endomondo or Wheresmydroid and it will send its GPS co-ordinates back to the website! And spy shops want to charge £500 for a tracking device!

This phone is bordering on unusable straight out of the box, but stick CM7 on it and it becomes a different beast altogether.

I got one of these from ASDA for £19. I dont use it as a phone. It is without doubt the best MP3 player I have ever had. Bluetooth streaming, different apps for music, podcasts and audiobooks, really good batter life and small. Even without the discounts this is a bargain for £44.

Hot!

Not the cheapest! I bought mine from asda, for £19 collect and reserve+chasback

I'm talking from the perspective of someone who has owned a lot of Android phones. The stock ROM on this is a lazy bodge-job. Perhaps borderline unusable is a bit harsh, but honestly, it's a lazy port based on the software for a lesser phone. One that isn't capable of multi-touch, whereas this hardware is.

If you're happy to make do fair enough, but if you think you're up to it, click the link I posted above and carefully follow the instructions, it's worth it trust me :D

getpoundsback.co.uk it's a cashback site. They pay 6.50 in 2 months and 6.25 speedy in 14 days.
I did and it was all ok. Careful though, you have to put the phone number in your profile settings or else won't track.

People need to stop paying to unlock phones

With an android their are 3rd party apps available (not on the store) that can root the device and unlock it
With none android phones (i.e windows, symbia, none smart phones) their are sites dedicated to unlocking them via windows CMD.
With Apple iphones these are the only ones you need to pay for to get unlocked as all information on the phone apple has direct access to.

I got one too when they were £19.99. Stuck cm7 rom on it and got a t mobile micro sim pay only iphone deal and put a micro sim adapter on it and have 12 months free 3g usage so great little wifi hotspot device.

I got the phone as well for £19 from ASDA a while ago. I flashed a CM7 Rom. I don't think I would recommend it. It doesn't sport a GPU rather relies on a sw renderer for graphics, so almost ALL games are out of the question.
Web browsing is out of the question too. ARM11 @ 528 MHz simply doesn't cut it. Even overclocked to 750 MHz didn't improve a bit.
Telephony/messaging is a nightmare too with that tiny keyboard.
Only good used as a casual mp3 player or even better as a WiFi HotSpot.

I think the absolute minimum for an Android phone should be:
CPU: Cortex A5 or ARM7v (in worst case a 800+ MHz ARMv6)
GPU: Adreno 200
RAM: 320 MB
Screen: 3.2'' 320x480

T-Mobile Rapport falls short in all those categories.

Lol it seems there's always one in every thread about this phone! X) It's just another idiot running his mouth, leeparsons. Ignore them, it's well established that there is no free unlock for this phone.

Aye. Not noticed any problems with the back, but the screen on mine has also gut dust in the corners. First used CM9 beta, was pretty dire but used Legdroid U8169 2.2 Froyo and havent had a problem since.

Does LegDroid (CM7 variant) go on this? I've got the U8160 (Voda 858 Smart) and it's the best custom Rom to shove on it after trying four of them out, imho. (CM7 vanilla, CM9, Smart Lucky 2.5)

Dear God - T-Mobile has an appallingly bad customer service team.

I've just been transferred from department to department by ever increasingly moronic agents for the past half an hour. At one point they managed to transfer me to the Orange help-desk.

I'd originally received an E-mail saying that the phone was out of stock, so I'd sent two messages confirming that I'd like to cancel my online order - only for it to turn up today after I've already purchased a different phone.

Still waiting on the phone whilst typing this message.

Surely a record: 1hour, 5 minutes and 23 seconds, according to my handset when I hung up.

That's how long it took to get a return arranged.

Thank you, T-Mobile - you're almost as great as Talk Talk.

I was hoping someone on here could offer me a little advice.

After much pain I managed to arrange a return for this phone via T-Mobile exhaustively poor phone service.

I was sent a pre-addressed package to return the phone - and then paid close to £7.00 for special delivery.

The parcel was signed for on the 12th, but I still haven't heard anything back from T-Mobile - in total (since my first order) I have sent over five E-mails, and never received a single response. If I phone their customer support line, I get passed around for a good hour or so and get absolutely nowhere - they're constantly asking for my T-Mobile account details, even though I never actually OPENED the phone's box - I don't have a T-Mobile phone number or account number to give to them.

Any idea what other routes I should go down to get my refund? Trading Standards? I paid via my Amazon Mastercard - I'm wondering if they'll cover in a situation like this.

Any help with my greatly appreciated.

Many E-mails and phone calls later (including one to someone who confirmed that the return had been received by T-Mobile) and I'm still no closer to my refund.

When does the 'worst company' voting competition start on Hotukdeals?
