£116.63 including P+P

DABS also selling this for same price (are they same company perhaps?)

I got it for work the other day and was very impressed - £115 is a bargain...surprsingly (for a strange brand) it proved to have an excellent picture quality and it's huge. Great thing for me is you can have two decent size windows open side by side.

I was so impressed I am tempted to buy another for home as well

Great monitor well chuffed with mine.

I can't find this on the Today only page. Its still in stock at that price without the freebie.
They only change the today only deals at 1:00 pm Mon to Fri. so it should still be there!

Seems to be back now!

Wish someone would do some 1920x1200 deals...

It's a bargain for computer usage, but doesn't support HDCP so won't work on my PS3 or other protected media (blu ray?). :(
#14
That is a fantastic monitor. The panels are made by a huge company and then the panels are sold to OEM makers who add the frame and stand and the mountings. Whence the base mounting mechanism looks quite crudely made but it served the function of fixture. As it has no brand therefore they save huge amount of money from advertising and branding but of course they don't have much after sales service (zero) as they do wholesale through ebuyer, dabs.etc. But it is a very well made monitor I am thinking of buying another but hesitating whether that I would need HDCP...but I have other devices that does HDCP anyway!
#15
Mine came up as £120 inc carriage?

#17
bought it and it broke within a couple of weeks!

many thanks to OP!

Why do you prefer 16/10, out of interest?
#20
Hi guys, just wanted to find out if i will get a better picture if i use a DVI to VGA adaptor? VGA cable is included so if i connect one end of VGA cable to my laptop or PC and the other end to a female VGA adaptor and male DVI-D connector will go into DVI port on my monitor, will it work this way? Sorry if it sounds silly, I just havent dealt with DVI before.

10% more pixels? Certainly better for looking at documents onscreen as these tend to be taller rather than wider.

Do Dell still do 16/10 in any of their ranges? If not, I guess one would have to look elsewhere :)

16:10 means you can show two standard size documents side by side on screen.

I think it depends what you want to use it for. A lot of the movies I watch are in 16:9 format, so I have to stretch it to fit my 16:10 display, meaning it looks a little odd.

What do you mean "have to" stretch it?

Are you saying yuo can't watch it in the correct aspect ratio with borders top and bottom?

Do web pages (as opposed to documents) benefit much from 16:10 or is this less an issue? I don't really spend much time with word etc.

£108 at ebuyer with free delivery!!!!
#27
u can watch films anyway u like on a 16:10, 16:9 is just better for movies + xbox games etc

I tend to crop off the sides when watching on my 16:10 as i dont like messing up the AR

The base and bezel of that monitor look almost exactly the same as my viewsonic VX series monitor, it is possible that these are just unbranded viewsonics.
#29
I received mine yesterday no dead pixals and its a very clear monitor. The only negative i have is that the controls are a pain to adjust settings for brightness etc.I would give the monitor 9 out of 10 a steal at this price:thumbsup:
#30
anyone got the brightness set on this? i cant seem to find a good balance between contrast/brightness and gamma... its either too bright or too dark... been using adobe gamma and nvidia to try and get it right but no luck.
