I thought these tool chests alone cost that sort of money, why the cold votes.

looks like a perfectly decent tool set for normal domestic use to me!

Gets a hot vote from me!

Occasionally the Professional range comes up at offer prices but until then this makes a great starter kit.

Shy cold voters at it again?

Unlike the Professional range at Halfords this is very poor quality. The box is easily dented, the lid locking mechanism jams frequently and the drawer runners regularly seize. There may be over 200 pieces in the set but most of such obscure sizes you'll never need them. If you need these tools for vehicle maintenance then you'll be better off paying for better tools that will serve you much longer. If you are buying for a few diy jobs then most of the pieces will be of no use.
I work as an engineer at sea and our cheapskate manager bought us a couple of these sets! After about a week we tipped must of the sockets in the bin and used it as a biscuit tin!

Seems ok for the money.

Not for me but decent find so hot

£50 wasted when they start rounding your nut and screws off :w00t:

voting warm for this. I think its better and cheaper to buy seperately from shops like toolsnstuff. They have a full 3/8" draper socket set for £10 if you can live with a horrible plastic box, and a sealey torx set for another £10 (for head bolts etc..), delivery isnt too cheap though. Other than spanners theres not much more you need for car maintanance.

Sure, http://www.toolsnstuff.co.uk/product_info.php?pName=DRAPER-VALUE-51-PIECE-14%22%2C-38%22-SQUARE-DRIVE-MMAF-SOCKET-SET&products_id=13244&osCsid=3b18866d1c040769efda1c92a4bd0f0f&cPath=7_366_61_401
thats the one I got. £9.20. Delivery is about 7 quid so worth getting other stuff too. This is the torx one I got, which is also very good value, http://www.toolsnstuff.co.uk/product_info.php?pName=TRX-Star-Socket-and-Bit-Set-19pc&products_id=3300&osCsid=3b18866d1c040769efda1c92a4bd0f0f&cPath=7_366_61_495.

I now need both 27 and 32mm sockets (wheel hub nut and timing chain tensioner), both of which are £5 each at halfords.. almost cheaper to buy here with the delivery.. but then I will find other stuff :(
