I'm no expert, so by all means correct me if i'm wrong but whats the point in having a tv compatible of 1080p video playback if it doesn't have an hdmi? I couldn't justify spending that much on a tv / monitor anyway unless it had an hdmi considering you can get ones with one for roughly the same price.

Cold from me.

HDMI>DVI cable if you really are that fussy. Plus this is a monitor, not a TV. Seems to be a decent price to me, not going to be a fantastic monitor, but it is cheap.

I have on board graphics at the mo and no dedicated graphics card, how would i add a 2nd montior like this?

Very tempting. I have a 19" one I bought at roughly this price 3 years ago and I've been very happy with it. I've not heard of Tekheads before, are they any good?

Great price, just googled and this is a great price.

Very hot. Already pointed out but not having an HDMI port isn't really a negative as DVI is backward compatible with it anyway. An HDMI -> DVI cable can be bought for under £3 delivered from an Amazon or Play merchant (I am using one right now for my PS3)...

Was going to order a BenQ LED Backlit monitor tomorrow, but now seeing this for this price has got me thinking..... Great find.

there is a benq 24 inch with essentially the same spec but with HDMI and a headphone jack (might be handy) for only a fiver more here:

does anyone know if Benq and HannsG are pretty similar quallity wise? I imagine they are on a par at the budget end of things, with Samsung and Dell being a few rungs up the ladder but a lot more pricey?

I have a 22 inch low end screen which i've been happy with (got it two years ago for the same price as the HannsG) but thinking a dual monitor set up is the way forward. :)

the only review i could find for the monitor posted was in German and it said that the monitor had good colour reproduction, was generally very good, only slight issue was the uniformity of the brightness across the screen (the backlight).

@Charlie MFC - do you know if LED backlit screens are any better regarding uniformity across the screen and could you post the link of the benq you were considering?

Cheers

Very pleased with my 22" Benq LED monitor (G2222HDL), wish i'd got the 24" model but at the time I was incredibly short on funds after my computer build.
