Was in Asda today and they had the 24 packs of full fat and diet irn bru cans down to £5.

The 6 pack with 3 free was still £3.60 so a good buy IMO!

Seems to be instore only as they dont even seem to have the 24 cans online!

Cant see this posted already but if it has please expire/spam.

Not much hope then down here in the south.
Good deal if you can find them.

Nah the 6 pack with 3 free with £2 in Iceland so I certainly wouldn't bother with that as a deal. 24 cans however, not bad.

That's a lot of Girders!

On a serious note, this is a great deal. I did manage to get the same deal in Home Bargains about 6 months ago, and what a week that was!

I've added heat!

They were saying how 24 for a fiver was a good deal considering 9 was still £3.60 :p

True, I didn't read that - that way until now.

Just because its not diet/sugar free!!!
#12
then why not say 'full sugar'? never understood why people say 'full fat'?

Because the sugar makes you put on weight, and hence you get fat. Possibly started as a scaremongering tactic to put people off drinking it.

Silly I know.

Full fat irn bru does sound silly, not a phrase I'd use but the body does turn sugar into fat so I guess it could be an acceptable term.

Pedant's corner: it is sugar free now, not diet

It's not acceptable. That's like calling energy drinks full-death, because with enough caffeine, you could die! It doesn't just take fat to gain fat. In addition, sugar does not turn into fat. It contributes to weight gain, but it doesn't turn into fat.

It's nothing like that at all, go take a pill. Sugar that isn't used as energy does get turned to fat.

Do your research instead of buying into any crap the media sells you.

No need, I went to this thing called school. So this weight that sugar puts on but isn't fat, what is it exactly? Gremlins?

You ought to think outside the box. Sugar = carbs, not fat. Obviously, consuming excess calories can influence weight gain, and sugar can be high in calories, but that doesn't mean it turns into fat itself. Anyway, back to the original topic...

I went to ASDA today, no such deal. It was probably store-specific, which is a shame. Oh well, I suppose I've been spared an incredible amount of fat.

Carbs turn to fat when not burned off as energy, seriously, if they dont turn to fat then please, enlighted me as to what this thing is that isn;t fat but leads to weight gain and stores the carbs for later use.
