  FYI 1-8 is available on netflix on hd
  
  oh and i feel that 1-4 are the best - didnt like 5 too much and i'm 2 episodes into series 6 and im already confused

  i wil say one thing ....and i can understand where the hi-def brigade coem from in reagrds this as i got br myself ..... but we are in a VERY small minority ..... there are more people with not even hd-ready tvs than br and dvd capable combined tv's ... and br owners hardly register ( please dont count consoles ) .
  
  what we might now consider poor is still pretty damn good for others ...

  5 is absolutely brilliant - 6 was admittedly disappointing (save for the first 4 episodes and from the 17th hour onwards) but 7 returns to the former glory of 24.

  Wouldn't go that far. Obviously DVD sales are far higher than Blu-ray, but to say Blu-ray 'hardly registers' is an exaggeration. Blu-ray releases sell very well despite the higher price point.

  I buy bluray and dvd, depends on whether the upgrade is worth it i.e. picture quality. Is there a big difference between 24 sd and 24 hd?
