REFURBISHED, NOT Brand New

Quite right and I forgot to add that important note when I posted the deal.

I will say though that Dell refurbished monitors come with 3yrs warranty and the ones that I have had from them (dell) have all looked like they were brand new.

Unfortunately my experience is differerent. I used to buy refurbished monitors from Dell in batches of 20 at a time. In each batch, 3 to 4 had to go back because of faults. Dell knew the return rate was high and really couldn't care less.

I thought Dell monitors were sony? Or is that only crt ones?

I love crt.... huge sizes..... excellent resolution..... and dirt cheap prices. Show me a crt monitor anytime!!!!

And heavy...

Dell LCD monitors use TN, S-IPS and S-PVA panels.

Does weight matter for a desktop stationary lcd?

I meant the CRT. :p

if you were talking about a 24" crt then yeah ;) think tv but deeper and heavier! lol. Youd need quite a good desk (none of your argos stuff) to hold the beast. (speaking from experience with a 22" crt)

Don't think I could pay this much for a reburbished monitor

I've seen that, strikes me as quite bizarre.

Anyone used these people before? I'll happily purchase the 30" screen at that price.

If you search really hard, there is threads about that company.

The 27" looks nice, read a review on it, has some nice metallic looks. I would only go 30" if you have a top of the range SLI or Crossfire.

The 'Revision A03' model is an older panel that suffered a few defects. The newest 'A04' model is currently in this thread for a similar price: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65737

Yes I dont quite know why but someone resurected this old thread from the dead, Quite right the new offer is for A4 revision. I would suggest an email or call to the vendors before purchase to be sure that these are 3yr dell warranty and not otherwise.
Perhaps its best to post any further replies in the new thread Here
