Specifications

Contents: DVD, game board, game cards, label sheet, player tokens
2+ Players
Ages 13+
Description

Players take on the role of CTU agents, racing time to collect clues and win on-screen "mini-game challenges."

Each game begins with a terrorist act; the CTU agents are then briefed and given several clues regarding the terrorists' full plans. Each player decides which clues to follow, knowing that some will be dead ends or red herrings. The first player to identify and stop a threat to national security wins.

Throughout the game, the DVD also acts as a timer, counting down the 24 hours to the terrorist attack that the players are working to prevent. A "virtual CTU office" allows players to analyze data. Future expansions are promised, adding new cases to be solved.

I got it for Christmas!! It's crazy - I'm not actually sure if it works properly because it's essentially a series of DVD controlled mini-games - you have to push buttons on your remote at the right time to win the games. Fair enough until the "save the terrorist" game which is absolutely impossible to win...

Wasn't much fun to be honest and I still have no idea what the purpose is of the board and playing pieces!! It's now up in the loft, big disappointment as I love 24!!

I purchased it at that price and am sure that it wont be long until play.com reduce it to £9.99 again - I suggest people wait

Stay well clear is my advice. I'm a huge 24 fan and it's just rubbish. A series of very, very poor mini-games that are broken beyond belief and generally it has very little to do with 24. At first, when we got it for christmas, we thought it was a quiz game based on 24, that would have been so much better.

Thanks for this info. I was going to get this - I love 24. I'll steer clear now.

Every DVD game I've ever played has been rubbish. And I keep getting them given to me as presents, even after I play them with the people who give them to me as presents and they see how rubbish they are. :?:

Deal or No Deal's not too bad if you want a DVD game - it's just a bit slow!

Did think this looked interesting, but have now decided against it, thanks!

We got deal or no deal for Christmas, terrible game. I don't know if ours was faulty but we'd get half way through the game (about an hours worth of choosing damn boxes) then it would re start. I think it worked eventually, but by then I was very bored of it!

I also got the Now music quiz, but that was also quite bad, looked like a good fun quiz, but was very poor.

Don't think there's much of a technical way to fix the slow DVD problem. They could design the games to be less flashy and just get on with the game, but I don't think they like that idea!

If you want to play deal or no deal, just write down the 22 prize values on pieces of paper, drop them in a hat, pick them out one at a time. Statistically, it's exactly the same challenge as they face on TV but you can play at whatever speed you like.
