Why does the picture get worse after you get it home because i was in Morrisons Yesterday and was actualy very impressed with the picture quality on freview in store!

An HD tv with a standard dvd player. I don't see the point...
#11
at least you get the DVD player connect your own does it matter what matters is that you get it in the price! so its all good. For that price do you think you would be getting a bluray attached highly doubt it!

decent enough for th ebedroom even though you wouldnt bother maybe with the DVD player, great for kids movies if you had burnt some on DVD!
#12
Very good price but is it worth taking the risk on these cheap brand TV's

News to me, got any links to substantiate that?
#14
Hot thanks, I don't normally buy these brands, but could be perfect for a bedroom set. Does it have vesa wall mounts?

Yes

Add* stake sold but have some rights now until some time in 2010

When I typed it I knew Phillips used to own them but sort jokingly mentioned bush but it was sort of a mixture of a joke and a bit of logic as most of these cheap companies have ended up in the hands of bush/alba/goodmans (Argos) at some point. Beko now. But see add*

I rate own brands ( on tv's anyway ) after seeing the picture on my mates Technika 32" from Tesco ( when it was £199) - brilliant picture full 1080p.

Anyway loads of the screens are made on the same production line no matter if they are own brand or branded.
#17
this is made by cello. Who make reasonable tvs at this price

Bought one, absolutely outstanding on the PS3 and 360 (HDDVD)

Can anyone whos bought one confirm wether its built in or intergrated digital tuner please. I.e. can it be tuned in manually?
#21
I just got one of these very nice. Looks nice. Nice Picture. DVD Handy and Tidy and has able to be mounted on 100mm vesa wall bracket. Weighs under 6kg so ideal for a normal bracket.

I do normally buy brands and have Panasonic and LG TV's.
#22
total and utter crap will last maximum of 2 years please avoid
#23
Can you explain why you think this?
Just bought one mainly for the 24" screen size to be honest as this will be perfect for our bedroom. It has PC input so can watch Sky Player from the lappy as well!

I have been looking for 22-26" for a while and had decided to get seperate to increase choice but still couldn't find a 26" for the same budget so snapped this up instead. It does not mention a hdmi connection when reading the box but it has one, thank god!

Grundig ceased trading some years ago, the Grundig brand was sold on, however the newer Grundig brand has nothing whatsoever to do with Philips, as you suggested earlier.

Where can I buy these newer grundig products btw. Who owns them ? ?

Still Turkish owned http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ko%C3%A7_Holding with lots of Germans running it.

We just need to know who owns Specsavers now and we're done

Cello are actually a british company and are doing quite well. They sell to M&S who then market them as their own brand. So IF they also brand Neon and/or Murphy then one would think that these must be ok as well.

It says in bumf that it is 1 yr warranty. Does anyone know if Morrisons extend this to the 2 ears the earlier poster mentions?
#28
any sky remote codes with this TV?
#29
Just bought one - not got it home yet as still in the pub!
It says on the box that it's got a universal remote that also controls your satellite - neat!

Had a chance to play with it now -
An excellent little set.... Plays DivX DVDs too...

Well worth the money!
