These look really nice. I fancy the 26" model. Would need to see a few reviews first though.
    KuchKuch
Looking at reviews of Kogan TV's suggest that they generally get 6/7 out of 10. So, while they may use Samsung panels, they don't produce the same quality.

£100 extra for 2 more in inches (26" vs. 24") seems a lot though

Looks a good deal was looking for a 22" monitor so maybe this is what am looking for. just wonder if they take payment now or when the TV in in stock?

2 more inches in other areas costs a lot more than £100 and a world of pain................

Clever misleading claim of LED screen - it is a LCD screen lit by LEDs. I note the asterix in the description etc but its a LCD TV all the same.

Very misleading deal for many. Some may think that they will be getting a fancy new generation led tv only to be disapointed when it turns out to be lcd.

Not in stock and for the price its nothing special. Would rather have the 22" lg listed a few posts above

New firm in uk, not in stock, misleading. Its a bit chilly

good deal for me. dont think they are a bad company personally as they clearly explain what LED LCD is on the site and within the product listing.

I agree the phrase "built-in PVR" is misleading but it is potentially a neat feature just to add a USB hard drive - depends on the execution as to whether this feature is worth having.

Another thing to consider is that the UK Freeview logo doesn't seem to be shown on the Kogan website in relation to these TV's, meaning that some or all of these sets may not have the interactive "red button" feature for UK broadcasts. Obviously you would have to buy one to be 100% certain, and this feature may not matter to you especially if you plan to use one as a second set or using it with an external box (Freeview HD, Sky, Virgin, etc.) - however it's still possible to select the BBC Red Button video stream manually even if the interactive elements are missing.

Know what you mean, but kinda disagree. Why when I buy a TV with built in EPG why do I then have to buy a seperate STB which fleeces me for the difference between a cheap 160Gb or 250Gb HDD when I can buy a 2.5" external for a fraction of the cost and share what I record across the TV's in my house.

I wish my new telly, which has a usb port, had an in-built PVR which I could plug my many USB devices into and record all the Freeview channels.

Heat for what looks like a good all rounder!

    Oh, and insofar as being misleading regarding the LED/LCD "miswording" . . . . . .

The first offerring from Amazon for example
    Besford
Many of the Tesco TVs have Samsung panels and PVR software with USB connections. Cheaper too and you know they'll be there if/when it goes wrong.

Over 200 degrees on this is plain crazy!

Sorry if I am totally wrong but I thought that a LED tv was a LCD tv, they are just lit differently so that the LED TV is my energy efficent. So it is infact a LED tv.

Also can this record both visual and audio from say the HDMI/componant sockets, say an xbox 360?or is it just from freeview? Also will it record in HD as this is a Full HD tv?

    Hrm, looks like these Kogan TVs are cheap box-shifting stuff with design flaws. This weblog post descirbes, in great technical details, how a 1080p Kogan TV tells its sources to send only 720p and then upscales it back to 1080p, sabotaging the picture quality;

The panels are not everything - the electronics that drive them mean everything - and not everything Samsung produces is excellent - they sell their rubbish elsewhere funnily enough!
Incidentally, have you noticed that this is LED backlit - unlike the Teknica or whatever rubbish they sell in Tesco
    My c/card protects this purchase.

Not its not - it has all the software and hardware - just lacks the storage. It is plain enough.

There is no such thing as a LED display TV and this claim is no different to any other.
The back lighting using LED technology is very new and offers longer lasting, more reliable and displays blacks better (as it can dynamically vary in intensity) etc etc.

Take advantage of the newness of the company as their prices are unlikely to last.

Easy enough to find the manual online.

Appreciate the help, but the manual doesn't answer my question.

PVR functions will only record the Freeview channels - it won't have an encoder to record external video sources.
