Mechanical timers are frequesntly available from Poundland priced at, er, £1.
Have no knowledge of the quality of the MODeals items, but the PL item I bought a few months back is fine and is yet to torch my house.

these look identical to the ones that poundland sell.

I've never had one of these that's worked for more than a few weeks. Some only last a matter of days before the small plastic pegs start to build up friction inside the device (I guess the plastic gets roughened) and cause too much friction for the little clock-motor to move them on to the next peg.

Any power failure will throw the timer out

Do I really need to explain what this is for:roll: You set this to turn something on and off within a 24 hour period, say house lights or outside security lights. If the power fails for 2 hours your settings will be out by 2 hours. Not life threatening I know but a pain nevertheless;-)
