I saw the 5 issues for £5 offer and wondered if the 2 years for £9.99 offer was still on. Anyhoo I searched for the old posts of this deal but non of the links worked so I used the 5 issues for £5 link and the old 2 Years for £9.99 code and it worked! :)

Please don't moan and bitch about the quality of the magazine after all if you want to read something dull and boring buy CQ magazine while smoking your pipe and slippers lol (Disclaimer: Do not smoke your slippers)

If you pay by credit card, they cannot automatically renew the subscription, so there is no hassle when it comes to cancelling your subscription.

They actually just tag your new sub onto your existing sub ! I did this last time and ended up with a sub lasting 3 years !

I haven't tried this yet, but instead of the 0845 number you can try 01795 414600 (customer services who also deal with subscriptions)

If you went through quidco you would get £4.80 back - so that works out at 4p per issue!

Hi how do you get this offer with quidco? The only offer I could find from Dennis publishing was for The Week

Many Thanks
#14
I looked at Quidco, it's no-go as far as I could see...
#15
Nice! Ordered.

As others have said - this used to be an excellent magazine, but recently its turned into a magazine version of the Daily Star! Might suit some, but I think they've lost a lot of readers.
#17
Search for Magazine Group in Quidco and go through there.
The 2 year £9.95 deal isn't on Quidco though, just the 5 for £5 deal (4p an issue)
#18
Took this offer up a couple of years ago.
This mag is **** compared to when it first came out, all it is is advertisements and **** stories.
#19
When Maxim gave away stickers to stick in public toilets saying things like 'you have a small dick', I realised how bad it had become. FHM wouldn't resort to stupid things like that, but that is why they sell well and Maxim struggles for readers.
#20
Crappity crappity **** ****. A magazine that tries to be interesting through stupidity and mindlessness.

If all you want from a mag is booze, boobs, and stories of people frying body parts you'll love it.

Thoroughly avoidable.

Signed,

Previous £9.99 for two years subscriptioneer.
#21
I've been getting sms spam since I signed up.. is there any way to opt out? Don't want to follow links in case they try to charge me anything. I'm sure I said no spam.
#22
you gave them your real mobile number??? madness!
#23
Got this for some silly money some time ago, for a 2 year subscription and this magazine is not worth the money.:x

Errrr yeah lol I don't want to read about how moorish the new wines of Austraila are or 7 pages on a retro scope on the kipper tie :whistling:

I got a Maxim sub for next-to-nothing a few years back and was EMBARRASSED everytime it came through the letterbox.
#26
doesnt work now anyway...
#27
I received a letter today saying they will refund me the 9.99 subscription fee. I phone customer service and apparently this offer was discontinued...word spread too fast and wide...
#28
I'm still getting issues from the last time this was posted back when I first found this site :)

anyway I think it's been worth it - defo wouldn't buy it at full price but for me I'd pay 41p for the free poker mag that comes with it each month.

worto.

Same here.

I must say, I'm a bit annoyed at the wording of the letter, which suggests I asked for a refund from them instead of the magazines...

I thought my hubs was the only one to have got one of these letters, he was going to get on the blower to them as he had not requested a refund but probably not worth it now!
#32
Why did they do it like this? Why didn't they just admit the code was accepted by mistake? Has anyone called them and received anything from them?
#33
I was mildly irked by the wording of the letter.

I called. They said it was an old offer and that everyone who took it up recently were being automatically refunded.

Told me not to worry as there will be plenty of other offers in the future. Not any that I'll be taking up though!

Thanks to Maxim for doing the job for me that I seemed incapable of doing myself. 2 more issues and I'm gone.
#34
The wording of my letter was ok, it just said the web offer had expired and were therefore refunding my money. I did chuckle at trying to get me to re sign up at £33.97 for 12 issues after they had just cancelled my £9.99 for 24 issues.

Yeah I will of course be ringing straight away to sign up.
#35
ah, just recieved a 2nd letter saying the offer had expired. At least this one make sense.

Same here.

Either they got loads of people complainign about the wording (like myself) and sent another, more honest, one out in the hope that they would curb the number of subscribers, who (like myself) after receiving the first letter have decided, with the help of that letter, that they would rather not re-subscribe to this magazine.

The wording of my letter was ok

It is clear you received what is now exhibit 'B' - "the damage-limitation letter".
#37
Took the £5 for 5 issue with £4.80 quidco
4p an issue - Can't complain!

the lady on the phone was very unhelpful and said i could pay again and continue , for £20

#39
mate, read earlier posts.

Guys,

They are doing you a favour by refunding you.

Maxim mag has degenerated into complete sh*te, and so you are better off without it (unless you are a chav)

If you still have doubts, pop into WH Smith and thumb thru a mag for free!
