I've got this phone and had it for a few months now, it does everything i want and more and has been brilliant for reliability. The price looks pretty good, not sure what tesco is like as a network though? Any clubcard points as well?

Hot from me

Tesco use the O2 network and you get clubcard points as well.

The good news for you is that an improved software update is due in the next couple of months which will enhance some of the stuff, like the browser etc.

Swear this has been posted like 3 times in the last 2 week or so. I myself wouldn't touch an 18 or 24 month contract for the life of me but heat eitherway, stunning price for a great phone, bar the web-browser

Sim free phone + t-mob offer sim/giffgaff = win.

'cold' are you stupid? post a deal with the iphone with the same minutes and texts for £20. i don't think you would be able to get the same deal with the iphone even if it exceeded 24 months. your comparison is awful!

My missus just got this. She's well pleased.

Already posted. Expired

Good deal, wouldn't mind using this until I get a SGS2 or an iPhone 5 and then just giving this phone to someone in my family and using the sim in the new phone. :D

What browser are you using ? I had this problem using Chrome, it's the postcode finder doesn't seem to work ! I tried again using Explorer and it worked first time

good deal and a decent spec phone.

Shame it's on a 24m contract and the N8 is not Andriod

Great hardware shocking software!
#20
Is this still valid, can't see it when I hit go to deal.

I was checking some of the prices today for the N8 and 750 mins/1gb data/5000 texts for £20 is way better than anything Orange, Tmobile, or carphone warehouse could offer me.

Yeah pretty much sums it up, hopefully Nokia will see a revival when they go with WP7.
#22
My last two Nokias had crap signal strength compared to all other mobiles I have. I have no idea why, but swapping the sim to a ten quid Alcatel was the only way to make calls in some areas.
#23
20 pounds for month, 66p per day, 2.7p per hour - but it is still 480 pounds in total. A good deal maybe, but certainly misleading and therefore cold.
#24
From the reviews, Nokia have failed again. Voted neither way, although fantastic camera!!! But i want the OS to go with it.
#25
Even the Nokia boss says they're years behind in terms of O/S.

Cold.

Android and iPhone beats this Symbian garbage.
#26
Cold the phone is ruined by a pants O/S and that shows as the price has halved in the last couple of months, i don't care what hardware it has its still a rubbish deal you would be way better off with the Desire that can be had for around the same price which is way more powerful and should be getting the new Android O/S.

The way windows phone 7 is atm, it looks better than symbian but the feature list is shockingly behind symbian.

I had one of these for a month until I ebayed it. Appalling software, great hardware. For example: I'm computer literate, happy to set up networks, media servers etc yet it took me over an hour to get this on our wifi network. It kept on insisting my WPA2 password was too short. It wasn't, what it meant was I had to do an over the air (ie via 3G) software update before the wifi worked properly. Found this out via a beta testers forum. The first thing I tend to do with phones is set up the wifi so it can update and save me my data package.

The Nokia N8 firmare is full of horrendously stupid things like that- it never ever remembered the login credentials to the ovi store or social media apps, no matter how many times I ticked the remember me box either.

Pretty much all of the problems were there in the prerelease firmware judging by comments made in various forums and hadn't been sorted by release. Some of them were sorted in an update in early January but since the big firmware update is scheduled for the Autumn, I'd advise against buying this. Got £270 for it on ebay, bought and unlocked an Orange San Francisco, been happy and richer ever since.

It is a nice piece of hardware, the build quality and screen are lovely but until they fix the broken OS (will they ever do that properly now Nokia is going to Windows Mobile?), it fails next to every half competent android smartphone and comes nowhere close to IOS :)

In my humble opinion :D

Someone must have figured how to reflash the newer Nokias to Android by now surely.
