ViewSonic's VX2450wm-LED features an LED backlight 24" (23.6" viewable) widescreen monitor with up to 50% energy saving compared to a regular 24" monitor. Environmentally friendly mercury free VX2450wm-LED offers a Full HD 1920x1080 resolution, 5ms response time, 20,000,000:1 MEGA dynamic contrast ratio, digital and analog inputs and integrated stereo speakers. Ideal for both home and office with the piano black finish, VX2450wm-LED can be mounted on a VESA compliant stand or wall mount bracket. It also has an automatic aspect ratio adjustment so when your input is a 4:3 signal, the image will not be stretched but instead it will be positioned in the middle of the screen with side bars.

wasn't OOS when I posted it, and HDMI is over-rated on desktop monitors

Not if you would like the option to use the monitor for gaming, tv etc, etc.

2) Speakers on monitors are almost universally awful.

Fair point.

Anyone into media editing or gaming will love a 24" over 22". especially the 1080p resolution

Yes it is, when I edit video I nab the kids 19" screen to use along side mine. You can get 2 19" screens for this price, people are free to vote how they want.

I have a 22" BenQ and regularly regret not spending the extra. Makes quite a difference.

i prefer DVI-D for pc setup
#16
HDMI is fine for PC's, but you might as well use the DVI as it is the same quality.

For anyone who needs HDMI and built in speakers this Philips 23" LED screen at Novatech for £149.99 with free delivery should hit the spot (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/monitors/23inchmonitors/philips/234el2sb00.html)

Which model of sncymaster? I just got a P2450! Are they not reliable?

Can't work out why anyone would vote this cold. Very good price for a 24". And you DO notice the difference from a 22"

225BW Apparently there was a spate of bad caps fitted to them. TBH It is getting on for 4 years old anyway so due a change and a 24inch is a step up.

May use the 225 as a practice project to see if I am any good at replacing bulging caps.
#24
is this thin one?
#25
mamboboy
Yep, although it's not the thinnest LED Monitor due to the PSU being on the back of it.

wow. it would look amazing without that bump.

As it happens it has not fitted the bill as I have just received an email saying they are out of stock... System took my money and took 3 working days to inform me of such....

Am expiring the offer.
