Fast, even room heating. High velocity air to cool. Dyson AM05 fan heater uses Air Multiplier™ technology for long-range heat projection – it provides direct heat throughout the room. When used as a cooling fan it has powerful airflow and high air velocity to cool you effectively. There are no visible heating elements or fast-spinning blades, and the unit switches off automatically if tipped over.

I've got a Dyson Hot and I'm not impressed at all. If you're sitting right beside it you can feel the warmth - if it's anywhere else in the room you cannot feel any benefit at all. Bought it to use in the garage (hubby's man cave) and I have to say a £20 halogen heater from Poundstretcher does a better job. I have always championed Dyson products but on this occasion I have to say I feel ripped off and I admit I was taken in by the advertising on the TV.

to be fair in their description on the website it says it doesn't get hot enough to burn dust.

Insanely expensive but not as bad as their hairdryer. They must think were mugs

Dyson's 'genius' is knowing some people are mugs. ;)

I have 2 of these and they're great. They are deigned NOT to emit dangerously high temperatures that might burn surrounding objects OR dust so they are MUCH safer than any other heater of this type. They maintain temperatures in a room VERY well. While these are noisier than other models they aren't any more noisy than any other make. They are also very effecting cooling fans.

Same marketing philosophy as Apple, then!

£249 for a fan/heater! If cold put a jumper on, if hot take jumper off. Much cheaper

And then making a sparkly trinket for the mugs to throw wads of cash at...

I've got a 20+ year old Philips (remember them?) fan heater. It DOESN'T set the house on fire (has safety cut out) and is VERY quiet. It also has a thermostat so maintains room temperature VERY well.

I'll sell it to you for £180 if interested? (_;)

Basically, you are a mug. A.K.A. Mr. Dyson's demographic. I take it your house is full of Apple devices too? X)
