Halogen floodlights uses about 300-500w this uses a CFL (Compact fluorescent lamp) 24w bulb, probably not quite as bright but enough.

Catalogue number: 206-1158

This 24W energy saving floodlight with PIR 24 Watt energy saving R7s lamp provides excellent energy efficient power usage. 90% lower than an equivalent 300W halogen lamp. PIR sensor switches on floodlight when motion is detected within the field of the sensor. PIR sensor detection field is 160° by 10m and can be rotated for accurate field adjustment. It has an adjustable time setting for floodlight from 5 secs to 7 mins and adjustable light sensitivity for night only operation. Able to install a standard 500W halogen lamp (max) if required. Waterproof IP44 rating for outside use.

good price..but just a warning...these use a special bulb, not the ones u can get for like 10p from supermarket....these bulbs cost around £10 each

looks like R7 bulb energy saving, you can use these to replace standard halogen ones if there is enought room.
24w is about 150w

Thanks will order a few, just what the low energy doctor ordered!
cheaper than my led floodlights...
A bit of hammerite if it's not the right colour for the designated area.

I've never installed one of these. Do you just drill through the wall and plug the lead into a wall socket?

That's always a bodge option, taking up a plug for life, however these are generally used hard wired into the house supply. (sic)
If not sure do consult a decent online guide, check & double check your wiring, use a decent screwdriver that detects live, (they're a couple of quid)! & if still in doubt get a sparky in.
