Brill - any idea how much you need to spend and how many receipts you need?
#2
Think last yr it was a £40 spend for 5 wks. Didn't get the ins and outs but it was on a yellow A board at Hillsborough sheffield.

Would help if you could give me information about this for the people who don't know what "they did at Christmas."
#4
That's what I remember it as. Let's hope it's the same. I usually spend between £80 - £100 per week so will try putting it through in two lots to get double vouchers. It worked at Christmas . . .
#5
I seem to remember the one at Christmas involved spending so much at the beginning of January as well...?

I suppose if you do your weekly shop there every week its a good deal without actually doing anything different

I picked up a leaflet in store today. You have to spend £40 or more in 5 out of the 6 weeks:

9-15 May
16-22May
23-29 May
30May - 5 June
6-12 June
13-19th June

Also this time you have to spend it at the same branch of the store, at christmas it didnt matter. I have one near work and one near home so the restriction to one store isnt good for me.

The £25 voucher can be used between 13th June and 3rd July but you have to spend £40 or more to use the voucher.

I think this is a good deal, and in the run up to christmas I was spending £40 a week on shopping, however with it being just me and my husband we dont really spend that much normally so I probably wont end up spending enough to qualify.

£25 off £240 over 6 weeks doesn't sound that compelling, although it is as it compels you to spend it all at one location! :)

shame i can only vote cold once on this crap. Having to spend £250 to get £25 off.

Q the people saying. 'well its great if you shop at morrisons anyway' lol.

I did ask for that, but this is a classic example of perfect marketing. You may not need food shopping etc that week, but you'll go and spend £40 knowing that it will contribute towards your pittyfull 10% off. This will happen over 6 weeks, and you wont miss a week because if you do, you wont get a voucher. And even if you really cant make it one week, morrisons have your hard earned over the weeks.
#14
It is unlikely you can spend close to £40, unless you walk round like a tight **** with a calculator

Hope your maths is better when you do go shopping.

I make it £200 spend to get £25 off. Still not fantastic imo as they are tying you down with your shopping habits. Still a deal :)

We shop at Morrisons every week and easily do £40 a week so this is a good deal for us.

Thanks for the heads up.

Well, as everyone seems to shop ar morrisons anyway, I took it one would shop for the full 6 weeks, 6x40 = 240, and since its 'over' £40 a week you have to spend, I just added on a tenner to round it off.

10% is 10%, I certainly wouldn't complain about a 10% pay rise this year... If you spend over £40 each week at supermarkets and like Morrison's then it's a no brainer, otherwise it doesn't affect you, it's hardly something to complain about.

You are a marketing persons dream. Have a think about what they are getting you to do, its irrelevant if you shop there every week. Really, have a think about it.

No you HAVE to spend £240 to get the discount ie: 5x40 (minimum) PLUS another £40 to use the £25 discount coupon which itself is a conditional spend voucher. Plus all this at a single outlet.

What the hell are you going on about, I've already said you HAVE to spend £250. Ok, its over that for **** sake I just rounded it off to a rough number.

Sorry folks, didn't see the post saying you had to spend £40 to use the voucher. That's just cheeky of them (_;). So finally you must spend at least £215 over 6 weeks?(5X£40+ £40-£25?)

I cba personally, prefer to be free to shop around wherever the offers are best week to week.

Pretty clever of Morrisons I agree ;) Not voted btw
#30
Then there's the 'validation' queues at the customer service desk at the end of the 6 weeks to get the conditional spend voucher! what a carry on.
#31
i shop in morrisons anyway so good deal for me.

Although will it be acceptable with the 10% staff discount. aswell

Not a problem really as I just tot it up in my head as I go around. This may be difficult for anyone under 40 though, as I don't think mental arithmetic is part of the exam syllabus any more so not relevant.

Interesting marketing ploy

It is..they know that during that period they can adjust their prices(higher) knowing that the consumer will be lured in by the £25 voucher at the end of the promotion.

Oh my god can't believe the people on here having a go!!!!!
I shop there every week so if I shop there for 5 weeks and on the 6 th
Week they knock £25 of my bill that's a bad thing. NOT !!!!

I can't believe the amount of people getting upset over this deal - or their level of upsetment!

(Have they finally started putting something in the water.................?)

If you shop at M its a good deal.
If you don't - then it doesn't apply to you.

Seems fairly simple to me.

great for anyone who shops there weekly (as I do) but its a £20 voucher down here, not £25 but you only have to spend £30 a week for 5 weeks to be able to claim it. Might not sound a lot but when you're a working single mum with 3 kids £20 helps a lot!!
