If you could get them cheaper, then why would you go to a large retailer like Kwik-fit?
#2
they do this deal every now and again, its decent enough as buy 3 get 1 free,
#3
i meant cheaper that kwik fits normal prices without any discount, and because they're a national company.

with the 25% of you wont find these tyres cheaper
#4
who buys 4 tyres at once?

Me, yesterday :x

I looked at this offer last month when they were doing Pirelli's and then again when they did the Continental's and in the end went to a local independant and bought something else instead

Nothing wrong with the offer, although I doubt they will be the cheapest even with the discount? A bit of hunting around locally and you will probably find an independant that will beat the price just for the business.

Something worth remembering is that Kwik-Fit have a price promise, they will normally beat any local retailer. Our local one was willing to beat the price elsewhere and then take off the 25/30% on top of that, the only requirement was that we had to have a written quote.

Sounded good, until it became obvious that no one locally did written quotes :?

Only mentioning this in case you know someone you can get a written quote from?
Not saying you will get them any cheaper, but it might be worth a go? The worst they can do is say no.

Hope it helps?

25% off what ?

And, of course, you'll need a new exhaust, brake overhaul........ Total cost about a grand.

Make sure you check the wheel nuts and tyre pressures after the KwikFit "fitter" finishes. :x

Sorry they have failed the challenge.

Not really a hot deal as cheaper options can be found elsewhere. However convenience is a major plus with quick fit being available literally all over the country. Last time i bought 4 tyres online + fitting it took almost 4 weeks for the job to be done.

Try the internet first, i've always found them to be a lot cheaper, and some companies come to your home/workplace to fit them.

My best i've had so far were my Goodyear F1s two £70 each. I've know people to pay £120 each tyre.

Event Mobile Tyres offer a good service for coming to your house & fitting the tyres. On most of their tyres it costs the same to call them out twice to fit a tyre to a single wheel as it does to call them out once to fit 2 tyres to 2 wheels. You do get a 5% discount when you get 4 tyres though.
#13
Looks like they don't do the 225/45/17's my Laguna needs.

Is this a mate in the garage price ;-)
or can we all get them for this? And if so, where?
#16
its a local garage where i live not national
#17
Most independent tyre fitters will beat Kwik Fit prices.

Voted cold.

I would NEVER use KwikFit again.
I had their free break check and in their incompetence, damaged a rear drum brake (only used a hammer to try and take it off) making the car dangerous, they could have killed me and my family.
They always find something else wrong with your car, stay well clear.

You do realise your meant to check them 24 hours or so after have been removed? Wheel nut tightness can vary depending on temperature or even just a tool needing calibrated.

Not that folk ever do check and then they bitch when they come off. :whistling:

Can't stand kwik fit, their service is very poor.

their adverts are annoying too!!
#21
You must remember...........................................

"you can,t get better than a ThickTwit fitter"

Voted cold as ThickTwit are a joke and this was put onto the deals thread:)

Its easy to get a better deal than this

I was in Kwick Fit yesterday saw this deal 25% off four tyres. However you get 15% off two tyres. Aren't you better buying two lots of two tyres instead of four?
#23
as a new driver i took my new car to kwik fit for its M.O.T
i thought they are a large company with lots of branches therefore they would offer good service and value for money...WRONG! they failed my car and said i needed £325 worth of work done, i was ready to pay it, but thought i'd call my partner for a 2nd opinion, needless to say he told me to just get my car the hell outta there, he took my car to a local garage and it passed no problem, what a rip off! they just took advantage as i was a young, female, inexperienced driver,

they should be on crimewatch!

Aint that Per Cent thing funny !

2 simple scenarios for you buddy !

2 tyres at £50 per tyre = £100 - discount 15% - £15 off - total £85 X 2 for all four tyres - total - £170

4 tyres at £50 per tyre = £200 - discount 25% - £50 off - total £150

I agree djskinee, went in to repair a leaking brake pipe (damaged, not rotten)
Kwik fit would not repair the leak, unless they could replace the whole brake pipe system, at over 600 quid (a few years ago now) never will go back!
#29
I wouldn't Kwik Fit with a barge pole over priced always find something else wrong with the car and not sure why they are called Kwik because they are not
