It's that time of year again and loads of people must have these on their Christmas lists.
I'm not such a huge fan of the new plastic-bodied Gaggia machines but they mostly still have the same chrome-plated copper portafilters and proper boilers as the old Gaggia machines had (apart from the Cubica) and will make a proper espresso or take coffee pods (if you really must).
The best machine is the 'Classic', now £229.49 was £305.99. The next best is the 'Coffee', now £146.21 Was £194.95. I would recommend either of these over the Cubica.
I've had a Classic for five years now in daily use. A quality machine that will maintain your interest, rather then a cheap machine to go in the garage come January.
