When I stayed in Wokefield Park in Reading, there was mould in my bathroom - just like staycation. It's like staying at home! And I paid £29 per night for it. :x:oops:
Not sure if each hotel is treated as a seperate business but proceed with caution and don't pay up front just in case.

We were very impressed despite some of the reviews we read
Some people would be unhappy if they paid 10PENCE per night, cos some people are just like that!!
We've been lucky enough to get De Vere deals off HDUK for 5 different weekends over the last 8-9 months. While they've all been at Peebles so I can only comment on that hotel...the service is First rate, rooms are excellent ( we even got a suite for a tenner one time ! ) and the food at Peebles is very good too. Big plus for us is we can take our Wheaten terrier at no extra charge, always a big plus!! Downside is mega prices at the bar, but no worse than similar hotels.
I'd certainly avoid mid week stays...since these are VENUE hotels, and you'll be surrounded by spiky haired, gel headed, badly suited and "let's laugh loud and falsely " rep types from Monday - Friday afternoon. ;-):roll:..but weekends are great value!!

The bed at cheadle house was huge bigger than our bed and we have a kingsize bed.
also they do unlimited free tea coffee, capouccino,s and biscuits at some venues.
We are going to book a couple of nights at WHITES, bolton as the hotel is part of
BOLTON WANDERERS football ground and she wants to stay there.
