Yeah, I hopped on that one - I really don't understand how Virgin decides on their pricing structures.

The Get Deal link doesn't work for me but if you go through to Our Products/Mobile/SIM only this deal is showing as an option there.

I saw that as well but I think it's only for existing customers because you have to go thru their app unless it's recently been made available to everyone.

Would be good if their network wasn't garbage!

I am with Virgin mobile and never had a problem with the network, probably as they use EE as the carrier.
Not a bad deal but will stick with the one I currently have, 5k min, 5gb data and unlimited texts, £10.
#12
You can also get unlimited (3G) data, unlimited texts and 100 mins for £10. For me personally that works out better as I make few calls and don't want to worry about data usage.

I had a phone call from them offering me £6 per month with 2500 min, ult text and 4GB data as i have tv, broadband and telephone.

Try to call and bargain with them. ;)

Virgin need to stop using generic T&C's with their deals ffs...

At this rate unless you have the carbon copy in hand you don't know what you're signing up to..

So this is 4G using the EE network? Anyone using Virgin 4G already? Any issues with them (London) quality/service?.
#21
Good price but It's a 24 months contract, no thanks

Been using it for just over a month. Haven't been to London but I've had strong 4G signal everywhere I've been so far. No issues

It's a 30 day rolling contract. Not 24 months

Got the 20GB data deal for £15, on the 30 day rolling contract two weeks ago. It's more than adequate in London.

Have a 4G EE mast over the road from my house and get 57Mbps Download 15Mbps Upload on BT Mobile, yet 25Mbps Download 8Mbps Upload on Virgin.

There is a speed cap on Virgin, but that's still fast enough for most mobile needs really imo.

I value the cheap price compared to non BT Broadband customers and 30 day contract on Virgin for flexibility. The data carry over is also cool.

I just transferred over two numbers from O2 to Virgin using those deals, the £6 and £15 plans. I remember there being a timer at the top saying it would expire at the end of Jan but their page is still showing the deal but as others said it's not applying the discount online.

I just tried to get my friend to upgrade online using his account and it's showing the 20GB plan for £24/mo now. We'll give them call tomorrow and see what we can do.

Forgot to mention, the signal isn't that great but is decent enough. I travel a lot for work so the 20GB rollover each month if not used is awesome, I've cancelled my 32GB EE sim which was available back in November.

My misses just phoned them. The misses and my son was on 2gb for £12 each. They just changed it to 6gb with no extra charge. Happy days. Cheers OP

And it's a rolling contract so can cancel anytime. Not a 24 month like stated

£6 Quidco available as a little extra.

Tempted to switch, paying the same on Giffgaff for 2GB so might as well really.

Was already on 2GB + double data and just managed to add triple data for free under 'Manage add-ons' on the website. Cheers OP!

This may be completely unrelated but plusnet who use EE say there is no charge for tethering. Could be a special agreement they have or something but I think EE don't mind. I've tethered from my plusnet SIM fine. EE coverage is great where I am, more 4G coverage compared to three... I did use an EE SIM for a month before switching to plusnet and I found lower speeds when tested so I find it likely EE throttle the signal for the other companies.

Does anyone know if this deal has ended? Or yet to go live? It's showing £25 for me.

I have something similar for £10. I get 2500 min unltd txt and 2GB data +2GB data bonus. On top of it I get 2500 min to 0870 and 0845 numbers, which helps me a lot, as I don't have to pay that on my landline
#39
(existing customer) After some negotiation with them, and showing them the Plusnet 4gb + 1500 + unltd texts for £10, they offered me this tariff (6gb+2500+ultd) for £10 :) happy! Worth a go
