Not sure now good this deal is..... seems around £100 less than other online retailers... Acer have been a very reliable make for me, both with monitors and laptops.

3% quidco as well

there is a section at the bottom of the page stating up to £25 off first orders..... not sure if it'll work though...??? if it does, possibly £362????

Reviews here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/displays/review/2007/04/23/Acer-AL2623W-26in-Widescreen-LCD/p1

As with any 26in monitor, the Acer sports a 1,920 x 1,200 native resolution, which is obviously the primary selling point of the monitor enabling you to put two full-sized A4 documents alongside each other on-screen or watch content at a full high-def resolution of 1080p. In aid of this, the DVI port on the AL2623W is also HDCP compliant.

Pivot and height adjustment not present on on this monitor tho.

Good.

But you'd need an 8800GTX or 2 to power it in gaming!

good deal

Good price but I’d be tempted to pay an extra £40 for a BenQ FP241W. I know it has a 2” smaller screen but it sounds a significantly better monitor. Size isn’t everything.

in 2d maybe...but you will need a card with a lot of memory to be able to handle the res...8800gts 640 or so...or the top ATis...but not the lower cards...especially on the newer games

If you have this size monitor more then likely you'll have a decent set-up anyway!

If you run a high resolution, make sure you have a good CPU and RAM (ie not 1Ghz and 256MB like me!)

Some people might be put off by the stand as well (or on other Acer monitors), I've a 19" Acer monitor and the stand looks flimsy, but its well built and dosn't feel cheap.

I'd agree with the people saying they'd prefer BenQ FP241W and it's only £10 more on Ebuyer at the moment - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123982 - a much better monitor.

Not specifically. I have one 22" WS running at 1680x1050 and one 19" at 1280x1024 and i'm still lagging behind with a 3.4 P4 and a x800xt :D

is this monitor used to turn people blind? It is the same size as my tv in the living room :w00t:
