Effectively secondhand - read the disclaimer.

90 day warranty is a bit of a ****.

These units have been opened up and used as display screens for a show, only used for a short period of time and are all in good working order.

We can't sell product that has been opened and used as new so we have put them in clearance at a discount to sell them. I think it is a fair price for the screen in question all things considered.
#4
It is a lot of screen for the money - hot.

There is a thread at the overclockers website with 2 people suggesting that:

"I've read a number of different reports of it not powering up when going into sleep mode....have to reboot your PC, put me off slightly!"

So anyone interested should read a few forums about it just incase.

Product is still covered under warranty, screen certainly should not be doing that.

Just return it if there is a problem, but there are slim odds of the screens suffering from this when they were used for a show previously. Pretty much guarantee there that they will have been great examples of the screen originally.

What would put me off is the chance that these have been returned with pixel failure. CCL do offer a pixel check for £19.99 however it is not offered on the page for these refurbs. But........

If you order the new version of the monitor togehter with the pixel check, then add one of these refurbs, you can then delete the new monitor from the order and your order then shows the refurb and the pixel check. Might work might not, but if they do deliver and there are any pixel faults it would be an easy return.

Do the distance selling regulations apply to refurbs? If they do then you are still covered anyway.

I certainly think this a tempting offer.

These items were shown at a trade show, take your guess on dead pixels for that one...

There is no chance they have been returned due to pixel failure, we get our money back from Iiyama if the dead pixels exceed the industry standard.

You are covered under the distance selling regulations if you are a consumer on these, I have even said it here so its double confidence for anyone buying one of these. :)
#9
would these be eligible for Iiyama's 3 years on site warranty..?
#10
Due to these being a clearance item we cannot advertise them with a manufacturer warranty, that being said I can also not confirm they Iiyama would not cover the warranty on them.
#11
This would go very nicely with that bargain price Dell a bit further down... Iiyamas are great monitors - I have one five or six years old, still just as good as the day I bought it. Hate to think what I paid for it - especially compared to this...!
#12
90 day warranty, but your statutory rights are not affected.
#13
I was looking at these too.. but didn't post it here coz of the 90day warrenty..

Lot of money to waste if it goes pop on the 91st day.

Wow, that brings back memories of the Trinitron monitor we used to have many years ago. Absolutely infuriating.

A lot depends if you are happy with the 3 month warranty or would rather pay the full price and get a three year warranty.

That is a stunning price. But the monitor is a bit poor: flat colours, mediocre black levels, quite annoying dithering patterns and absolutely useless adaptive contrasts (dark scenes suddenly become way too dark). You get used to the colours, but the dithering remains annoying. I would rather pay a bit more and get a better monitor.

Would never recommend CCL. Sent us a faulty monitor which got worse within a few days and we struggled for many months to get a refund. Very difficult to get a reply via email.
