27" & 1080 = poor for 27" go for 2K
I can never go back to 1080 as my last monitor went back to amazon as i hated it, go 2k for a little more money

This seems expensive, I paid £199.99 for a gsync from currys which was 24" AOC. Surely another 3 inches isn't worth £100? With how powerful cards are nowadays you might as well get a GSYNC 4K - much better technology employed at 4K than 1080p

I think lots of people would pay £100 for an extra 3 inches 8)
That's the problem i think with the new nvidia cards the prices of G-Sync monitors have shot up and seem more scarce to be honest. I would be happy to pay £199 for a 24" with G-Sync.
Can I ask what model am looking for it now.

Doubt he spent 199 on a new gsync monitor...Probably open box or something and from Currys of all places...

This 27 inch is a scorcher

Like 1 GPU in the market can hit 4k/60 reliably in modern games...........

I think we probably have to wait either for gtx 1080ti or Volta to play 4k at 60 FPS minimum. Hopefully it won't be too long to wait

27" 1440p 144hz g-sync is wheres its at. Can drive that reasonably with anything gtx 970 and over.

Have a look on here. Just search for AOC G-sync it was from currys brand new for £199.99. I kinda realised it was pointless having gsync for 1080p so sold it on gumtree for £200. Why would I lie lol the evidence is on this site!

Er Price has just dropped to £289.99 from my original price of £299.99 now, very strange.
Have updated title and price accordingly.

Trust me, not worth it for 1080p. Get for 4K as obviously you'd get fluctuating frame rates so GSYNC can really smooth them out. At 1080p its a bit unnecessary and probably within a year or two you'd want a 1440p panel at the very least with future GTX12 series

I think 4k is not for me to be honest maybe 1440p, I will have a look for one of those but to get a 1440p 144hz it may be out of my reach.

Edit: Appreciate the advice but after spending days researching and looking I am going to stick with 1080p and go for this. The 144hz and g-sync I feel will make a big difference from my 24" 60hz panel at the moment.

See how you go! I was actually really super disappointed - it felt smooth but not the life-changing experience people said. It did help me with input lag so for shooters and stuff like DOTA it improved my game being able to see more frames a second, but when I realized I spent nearly double for that it kinda put me off. Best of luck
