This looks good thanks. I am looking for a set for a Xbox 360. Does this have the correct HD composite connection that the 360 uses ?

Nice some peeps on other forums are saying these are re-badged Thomsons.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I'm assuming good, as your first word was "nice"!
#6
Well it has got good reviews, and the Thomsons are supposed to have good build quality.

Thomson is a brand, AOC isnt, so with the AOC haveing the same things as a Thomson, I guess its a good thing.

This one looks pretty much faultless according to its specs.
#7
Also note, that the 32" can be bought for about £385. This is the one I am keeping an eye on.

Waiting for a few more reviews.

I dunno, I'm starting to get confused with the sheer amount of tv's that are appearing... my brother has a 32" samsung and my dad has a 32" sharp, both for about £600 each... I'm a tight git, and don't want to pay £600 for a tv that will probably on cost £450 by july... If these cheaper tv's are any good, I'd get one

I ordered the mirai 22 inch and am still waiting, may cancel and get one of these does not appear to have pc input, whats the thoughts on differances Apart from size, another £30 I could afford from going from 22inch to 27 inch.

Welcome to HUKD ME HIGHLANDER2!
#11
It must have pc input, as it claims to be plug and play with a resolution on 1024x768

Had to create another account for work. Its ME HIGHLANDER. So ME HIGHLANDER 2 shall be used to a minimum since I am at work. So will be used in emergencies like this.

Can anyone please confirm how to hook this up to your VGA & audio output on your laptop.
#13
What would be the Input Video Formats 480p, 720p, 1080i, 480i, 576i, 576p
If this means anything 1080i is what the Marai that I order which I believe is what your looking for.

I don't think it has freeview, am I right?

Hmmm, have been waiting for another 26" since the Hanns one sold out everywhere. But then, as some say the 32" is only £50 or more. Decisions, decisions...!

£20 for delivery taking it to £309 payment by paypal which I find a bit dodgy as it has the visa sign on the front. Has anyone used them before?

I have ordered from Micro Direct totalling £348 with next day postage of £25 remember cash back as said earlier, I am saving £10 and others taking standard delivery it should bring it down closure to this other price.

Will post details when I get it. My Freemans Samsung is getting repaired so needed a back up. Was going to buy one any way.
#28
Yeah, I've stuck with Microdirect after seeing the Paypal link on the other site! And, anyway, with £9 or so cashback from Quidco, it only works out about £10 dearer.

Plus I opted for standard delivery and have already got email saying it's been despatched. Cheers to the OP!

Just so your aware guys I got the 32" version of this on offer last week for £370 delivered. Opened it up and am supprised at the build quality. It comes with the same remote as a Thompson freeview box I have and so I am agreeing with the re-badged statement. I havent tested it yet with high def but for the minute im well happy with my purchase :) just need a 360 now ;)
#30
So how is the pic quality in standard def.
#31
Received it this morning not connected it yet, it is a very bulky 10 inchs, Compared to my Samsung 32 inch which is less than 4 inches.

I never checked the width, you have been warned. Glad I am not looking to put it flat on the wall. It is going into a corner on top of my drawers or on a swing arm or shelf. To decide.

Will connect it to XBOX 360 as soon as I have moment.

Box say its PC compatiable and instructions shows VGA.

Appeared BULKY size taken from box, size is only 5 inches.

You may want to have a look at this one if your after a 32" AOC for £369.97 + p&p on direct tv's. Price grabber says it's £9.95 delivery, but there site states £17.57? so not sure which is right. Not sure if you can use quidco for further reduction. AOC L32W551T 32inch HDTV. Slightly different model number to the 32" mentioned in one of the other posts in this thread. Has Decent specs for the price. Showing as 20 in stock.

Connected up tonight, very impressed, good tv picture, good sound, good hd picture through xbox 360 and connected up to laptop no problems. Very pleased with the performance. Although thickness as previously mentioned scared me.

Not being a complete fanatic, for blacks, responsiveness and ghosting I have had no issues. Although there does seem to be a bit of blur playing tiger woods 06 on xbox 360.

I guess you get what you pay, thickness of tv a side, the picture quality for the money is fairly good compared to my Samsaung, so can only praise this. Thinner tv and no blur would have made a fantastic deal.

Shall add some respect to eyedoubleyou, cheers MEHIGHLANDER

Not as bulky as thought size taken from box, this was the depth of the box. Tv is only 5 inches.

#35
My previous post suggesting the TV is 10 inches thick were incorrect, this was the thickness of the delivery box.

The thickness of TV is approx 5 inches the quoted 275mm on Micro Direct is including the stand.
#36
Looks like a good deal :)

Thanks for feedback guys.

Phew! With mine on the way, I was wondering what sort of monstrosity would be 10" wide! Thanks for clarifying Mehighlander!

Any body else odered this TV?
I am having problems changing the AV1 from 4.3 to 16.9 screen format. Anybody got the solution?

Solved this it was to do with the poor scart lead with my freeview.
