It is cheap, but seen lots of reviews saying the picture is blurry and ghosting is pretty bad.
Also, supports up to 720p (so no 1080i if you seem to want it).

Does this have Freeview.

Nope, it's a pretty old model.
#8
The cold voters are buying them all up right now to sell on ebay lol. Crackin price, free delivery aswell, voted hot. Qualitys another thing.
#9
Might seem cheap but you'll notice the difference compared to a better spec HD TV. Dont go spending your money on something you will be disappointed with.

If you buy this tv you get an upscaling set top box which has freeview!! for £20
#11
UK mainland only....and from memory, there was a major ****up the last time one of these onde day specials appeared from Goodmans....sorry...cold
#12
it'll not be a great tv, and frankly (speaking from experience with a 26" samsung), hd is a waste of time on a screen this small unless you're right close to it. on the other hand, £200 makes it a good price for a bedroom telly
#13
Cracking price !
AV Forums don't have much - http://www.avforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=12500240 on this tv.

I can't find reviews anywhere else.
Think I'm going to go for it for the bedroom tv

help me out, upscaling does what exactly? from the name i'm guessing it improves definition?
#15
unless its a 1080p ? they all downscale to 720p so it handels 1080i the same as any other 1080 i tv.Gives good pic if fed with hdmi or rgb feed
banned#16
The reviews aint that great, besides its not too cheap as its just HD Ready and not full HD 1080p.
#17
Looks good spec for that price! Blurring and ghosting most of the time depends on what connections are being used and the quality of connection, forget Scart on an LCD,Plasma TV's you may as well get a CRT. If you have to have Scart for say cable or none HD Sky then get a decent scart and use RGB.
These TV's need Component, HDMI or DVI to get the most from.
So many people used to come to me (when in sales) saying they had ghosting etc and I found they were using cheep rubbish Scarts you get free with equipment, I'm not saying pay a £100 for one but if you have to get a decent Gold plated heavily shielded one.
On the other hand yes on some of the older LCD's ghosting and blurring can't be helped as much, newer ones have higher response times.

My inlaws have a goodmans 32in hd ready tv with freeview. To be honest it's not the best tv in the world, they have had the technician out twice in the first six months. Your better off in my opinion spending another £100 pound or so and getting a better make. Although, each to their own though.
#19
1080i is downscaled to 720p on all 1080i tvs so this tv does do 1080i just does not do 1080p but you cant expect it at thi price? also good pic with hdmi or rgb scart so good tv if conected to freeview box
#20
rated hot!!
seems ok for the bedroom
#21
i had this tv (bought from tesco sometime early last year) the ghosting is something you just have to see. Needless to say it was changed after a week of messing about trying to sort the pic. Please dont buy, fork out the extra 100 for something alot better. One word

shocking.
#22
Good price but I think I'll keep looking.

I want Freeview already built in rather than by a set top box if I'm going to be wall mounting it, would consider a built in DVD player too but have been advised that these can sometimes be noisy in operation.

There should be no ghosting when HDMI is used, Has anyone used this TV with a digital input?
#24
has any one bought one yet cos its says available soon when i click through the link and does anyone know if its 60Hz cos i want it to play 360 on
#25
Good price for an LCD TV. Just remember as a rule you get what you pay for with these TV's so for this price I would not expect too much !

I paid £350 for this model exactly a year ago and its horrible.

Component is fine for 360 ok for DVD's not upscaled but very "dry" picture

SD was horrible on this, it looked like someone put a piece of plastic over the screen.

Still not bad for the price but not the sort of tv you would use as a main.

VGA was nice though
#32
Ordered one for the bedroom. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a wall mounting bracket for this.

OP - thanks voted hot.

Specs can be very misleading, Hanns-G screens tend to be fairy decent quality, can't say the same for goodmans.

out of stock

The best bargain was the Beko 32" at the same price. When compared with far higher priced models and well known brands (and tuned correctly), it really made them look severely overpriced. In fact, I know of people who swapped out their far more expensive sets to use it as their main screen. It really was that good. Excellent picture, and even more impressive sound. Who would have thought it. And all we had were people saying "it's very basic etc"... brand snob came to mind.

I'm a long time reader of HotUKdeals but I just had to register tonight to thank boohoo2003 for posting this amazing deal!

I bought one earlier this evening for delivery on Friday! It's an excellent bit of kit for the price of it and as I have a Ps3 and BT vision I will be able to use a HDMI cable which removes any ghosting or blurring.

Once again thank you!

The motion lag on these are appalling. They're fine for watching Eastenders and the news etc...but not for watching football (so bad you can't see the ball sometimes) or playing video games or anything else fast moving.
The lack of a digital tuner is a big disadvantage as well.
If non of this bothers you then go for it.
