Hmm, I got very similar, but was same deal on 24 month contract. I was wary because the contract was 24 months, but it meant not paying 25 a month for 2 months that they'd already given me for the current contract (a previous free 12 months)! So I guess I can't complain, but this is obviously a deal others can negotiate for - and do it early if you want to avoid the last couple of months' payments on a more expensive contract.

Thanks - excellent offer
What were they prepared to offer on 12 month?
Still, at £5 a month it's worth taking and then take another contract as soon as there's a great offer! Keep paying the £5! HOT

i didnt ask about 12months, to be honest if i was offered a 12 or a 18 i would had done the 18 month everyday for this price, don't think prices will drop over the next couple of years and knowing ive got it fixed for 18 months is a bonus

Do you think its possible to call up O2 and get this offered to me even though im a new customer?

I'd like to know the same. I have a feeling this offer is for existing customers though

Just got my daughter a Virgin Sim after unlocking her phone from Tesco network (Tesco unlock phones free of charge). It is £10 per month and that gives her 300 any network call time and 300 texts. This can be done on a PAYG basis or as a direct debit each month, no tie in whatsoever........... however to get the £10 rate you have to have either Virgin cable or phone or broadband.
#11
CPW will always offer good deals when you ask for a PAC. My wife got a SIM only 12-month contract (400 mins, 500 sms) for about £7 pm.

this is a retention deal, if you can negotiatre you can usually get a good deal.

i have two contracts with O2 CPW i wanted to cancel at the beginning of the year, i called them and wasn't interested in any of their offers, in the end they gave me a free contract without any cashback deals.

I got 75mins and 125 texts for £0per month (but because of the itemised billing charge, which i prefer, it costs 99p per month). They put a £300 credit on the account, it took about 30 days for them to apply it, it was a little longer for the second contract but again that one was free too (50 mins and 100 texts on this one).
#16
I recently got 400 any time minutes, 1000 texts and unlimited data for a tenner a month - so it is possible to push them for a deal...but usually only when your old contract with them has come to an end and you're prepared to keep the same phone (or have a new iphone :-D)

02 direct is different to 02 CPW so they probably wont offer the same deal

its hot

although if you be be bothered with cashback you can get a new connection, pay £1.99 a month and get a nokia 6300 you can sell for £80 on ebay and get £36.50 through quidco if you use onestop (a subisdiary of CPW)

I upgraded for my wife about 2 months ago, also with CPW O2.

They offered, after many phonecalls, £15 per month for 500 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited O2 to O2. After more pushing, they agreed to put on £180 credit if I didn't want a new phone.

So it was £5 per month, no cashback problems, 18 months and a ton of minutes and messages!

well i was on 3, asked to cancel within the 30 days notice period, they must have rung me a couple of times to offer me carp lol

a couple of days before the end date they offered me:

Direct Text 1400

300 mins
1000 texts
£5 downloads
50 video messages

all for £5 inc vat per month

its a 12 month contract

naturally i didnt belive them so asked for a confirmation letter and lo and behold it arrived stating everything

and heres me thinking of going to pay as you go lol

wow my dad has about 4 months to run on his contract, i got o2 broadband out in his name and wanna keep that discount, you think i can ring up for that now? Or is it not worth the risk in case they mess up his cashback - 12 months free. 18 month extention is a fair deal imho. Not sure of 24, too long.
#21
If you're at the end of your contract it's always worth telling them you'll cancel to see what they'll say - three offered me a fab £10 a month deal for the same minutes/messages/downloads that I had been paying £25 for previously, which was a good deal anyway in my experience. Vodafone however told my bf who had been with them for almost ten years there was nothing they could do - so he cancelled and moved onto three with me.
#22
i think that well cool iv got voda and you have to top up ever months £7 and u can call up to 6 people but min top up is £5 then £10 so u cant just put £7 that what **** me off the one from virgin look good too

The only problem with that is that if you want to switch network for any reason, you can't port your number out until the old contract has expired. They may allow you to pay it off early (i.e. pay all the line rental for the remaining months) but it's worth checking. For this reason I always go for 12 month contracts.
#26
I got pretty much the same deal, 200mts & 200 texts a month for £5 a month.

The way it works:

Tarrif - £30 / month

They credit your account with 10 months line rental value of £300, so essentially you don't pay anything for the first 10 months. Then once the credit has run out, which will be at the end of month 10, (unless you have exceeded your monthly bill) then you pay £30 for the next 2 months. so £60 / 12 months = £5 a month.

Ofcourse, you can go on a higher tarrif and the £300 credit will be given and you pay, say £40 for the last 2 months.

This is only for customers who want to leave CPW. They are desperate to keep hold of the customers. Whatever deal they give, when it comes to customer service, they are very poor. 3 Indian call centres are better than warrington CPW.

hot...Got a similar deal from O2 what I asked for a PAC. Had already brought another phone so had to decline....
#28
has anyone who is not already a customer gone in and asked? as thats what im interested in..

Is there no way to get a deal like this for my first contract?

Just renewed 2 contracts with CPW O2.600 anytime minutes,1000 texts + a choice of unlimited landline calls or unlimited O2 to O2 calls. for £15 a month.
#33
Has anyone ever tried to cancel with BuyMobilePhones.net
or do you only get these offers from a shop like cpw?
#34
Great deal well done to you.

I am with Vodafone £12 for 200 mins and 250 texts and i thought that was a good deal, well i suppose it is cos i got a nokia N81 8gb thrown in for free.

I have always said its best to wait until your contract is just about to expire and they will offer a better deal every time
#35
Just called up (Sales advice: 0870 087 0870), and talked to the sales person, who transferred me to the appropiate department.

They offered me the same deal too, so took it! (Am a current O2 customer, fed up with cashback deals).

Heat and rep given!
#36
Just tried calling. You have to have an existing o2 contract with the carphone warehouse to get this offer. The next best I could get was a similar deal, but for £12.50 a month

How did you manage that??? What length of contract?
I'm coming to the end of my 12 months 200 mins and 250 texts with rollover and stop the clock for £25 (it's an old tariff). Got the first 3 months half price. Upgrade due at the end of this month.
Did yours come with the extras thrown in (like stop the clock)? What about the free internet bundle?

Got a similar deal laast August where OSPS (part of CPW) deposited about £250 in my account (and wife's) and deducted £20.99 per month over 12 months - fantastic deal - will have to so if I can do the same again!
