*must not give in*

most of 28 days later was shot in 576 PAL resolution SD video, so wont be great in HD.

i doubt either movie will be a HD revolution as there cheap british movies (especially compared to big blockbuster hollywood movies), But it's still £10 cheaper than anywhere else.
#5
Certainly not worth having on Blu-ray - not voted.

Got these both on DVD...don't expect the less than reference picture quality justifies and upgrade to BD, especially considering the upscaling abilities of BD players!

...good price if you haven't already got them though!
#7
not that great, not worth having on blu ray

First film was good, second was awful.

Really enjoyed 28 days later, fresh and raw film.
Went to see 28 weeks later in the cinema and walked out as it was rubbish, watching it gave me a sore head.
Even Robert Carlisle couldn't save that film.

Pity Danny Boyle hadn't directed both.:whistling:

Both great films, but both look **** on Blu.

Still a hot deal tho.

28 days later is awful on blu ray - no better than dvd
#12
28 days later really has no point for being on blu ray. DVD version will give pretty much the same picture. The movie was shot in a very grainy way, this was a choice chosen by the director.

Review only gave the picture 1.5 stars out of 5.

Out of interest, which movies do benefit from using a Blu Ray disc?

Pretty much all movies look better on bluray (these 2 are one of the few exceptions where they look basiclly the same as dvd due to how the movies were filmed & the budget).
Some movies look fantastic on bluray such as troy, planet earth, the island, iron man, etc. It's like the difference when playing your xbox 360 through a scart & then playing it through a hdmi at 1080p, Everything is absolutely crystal clear.

If you wanted to watch something as a high definition sample then i would recommend 'planet earth', Looks incredible on bluray.
