Gosh, so did I. :-(

Good price for such a large monitor, voted hot.

What I find disturbing though is the worrying trend of including HDMI instead of DVI.
#7
Plug in a freeview box through the HDMI for about £30 and it is.

The detailed specs on Lamba-tek say;

Interfaces/Ports
VGA In: 1 x 15-pin HD D-sub
Audio Line In Ports: 1
Digital In: 1 x DVI-D
Audio/Visual Port: 1 xHDMI input

So it does have a DVI port.

Where else can you get so many inches for that sort of money

Please see this previous deal thread for reviews, specs and comments.

I've never used Lamda Tek before and I, personally, would feel better paying the little extra (£265.86 delivered) to get it from Misco (also, see post above).

Really is just a personal preference though and a pretty significant ~£19 difference in price.

If this runs out of stock, you can still get the monitor here for slightly more:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/219198/hanns-g-hg281dj-28-tft-monitor-265-/

I received mine a couple of days ago and I am very pleased with it, despite being a TN panel, I sit right in front of it. I guess they included an HDMI connection as the monitor has built in speakers (but these are pretty ****), but they do include a DVI - HDMI cable in the box anyway, so its not a problem.

Would also advise anyone who is unsure of what a TN panel is to have a quick look at that thread as it will give you a further insight.

Important, please read. This item can only be purchased for business purposes, and is therefore bound by our business terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions for Business Customers relating to the Return of Non-Faulty Goods

Purchases made by a business are subject to the following conditions and the distance selling regulations for end consumers do not apply:

I think this is so you can't use the DSR to get round their dead pixel policy...
Dead pixel policy for TFT/LCD screens. Please note that a TFT/LCD screen is only deemed to be faulty if the number of defective pixels exceeds a certain limit. This limit varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Please enquire before purchase for precise terms for a particular TFT/LCD screen. In the unfortunate event of dead pixels below that limit, items can not be returned on grounds of fault.

ISO 13406-2 is the standard that normally applies here.

What's worrying about it? I was under the impression that DVI and HDMI were electrically equivalent, and that a converter is all that is required - and that there's one in the box, to boot?

Yeah they're practically the same thing, all you need is a Hdmi to dvi cable and they're dirt cheap. I can't understand why this would concern anyone.
#20
Wow! Something I have been looking to buy later.. thx a ton.. would be ordering one sooner! Just wanted one for my PS3!! I got one 2 weeks back and still no luck in playing! :-D!
#21

very pleased with mine purchase 5 dats ago twenty pounds higher

Be careful when buying this for PS3/360 use as it is a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor with no 1:1 pixel mapping. So it will stretch all your games and cut off the excess as the 360 and PS3 output at 16:9.
#25
Microsoft are solving that problem in the fall update.

An HDMI to DVI cable is supplied in the box with the set. So it will work stright from the DVI on your graphics card.
