This is a good price, there usually around £50. However i managed to get one yesterday, brand new and sealed, off eBay for £15. The seller must be well p****d! lol

You might like to put the actual amount of RAM somewhere in the title and the description.

I got the Compaq Mini 311c when Expansys were selling them at £250. Great little netbook but the 1GB RAM was bugging me. I considered the Crucial 2GB 1333MHz stick but back then it was £46.99 so this is a decent price.

I decided to go down the eBay route... First of all getting a 1GB Hynix 1066MHz for £14 delivered. The seller was screwing around and 10 days later (still waiting on delivery) I gave up. Filed an eBay/Paypal complaint, purchased a 2GB genuine HP part for £25, and naturally 5min later the 1GB stick showed up - typical, and just my luck. Already sent payment for the 2GB one too...

Anyway, long story short is an extra 1GB stick in this netbook (2GB total) will suffice for most people especially when sticking with Win XP. With Windows 7 however, 3GB really does make a nice difference especially if like me you tend to push a netbook a little harder than it's designed for.

Get the quicker ram if you're tempted by bios overclocking (see myhpmini.com), as the ram is the only thing holding it back.
