For all of those who have bought the Nokia 770 from expansys, this 2GB card is now back in stock at only £8.60 delivered, just ordered mine this afternoon when I got the stock alert e-mail.

RS-MMC cards are one of the fastest growing formats in the mobile phone market due to their ultra small size and low weight.

Designed to meet the next-generation portable communications and computing markets, RS-MMC is 40% smaller than a standard MMC card and weighs less than a gram, making it ideal for portable devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and digital camcorders for the storage of music, images, video and data. The RS-MMC can also be converted for use as a standard MMC with a simple adaptor (included with product).

Dimensions: 18 x 24 x 1.4mm

Adaptor can convert RS-MMC into standard MMC (included)

Please check the compatibility of this card with your equipment manufacturer before purchase.

Now £9.74 Delivered

Please note the pic is of the 512MB card, but you choose whether you want the 512MB, 1GB or 2GB on the page I've linked to. Also, choose the Royal Mail delivery to get the £8.60 price!

Odd, as I only asked to be mailed when it was back in stock this morning, then I got an e-mail this afternoon letting me know. Anyway, glad it was useful! :)

Yeah, seems the price has gone up as mine was definitely confirmed as £8.60, must have been a load of orders so they pushed the price up a bit. Although it's still a pretty good price at £9.74.

Can a Mod please change the price in the original post?

Cheers,

B.

They are probably OK, but I tend to put a premium on data integrity. I'd rather pay the extra £6 or so for Sony or Sandisk media. That's just my own personal preference though.

Will this work in a Nokia 5300.

Thanks

Will this work in a Nokia 5300.

Thanks

No, Nokia 5300 uses microSD cards also known as TransFlash.

No this will not work in a Nokia 6630, only DV versions will.

Does this apply to all Nokia phones? I just ordered one for my 7610 :-(
#15
2gb seems to be out of stock so may get a 1gb
#16
No only the more recent ones than the 7610 like the 6630/6680/N70 etc before they saw sense and changed to the microSD format. I'm not sure what the largest capacity memory card the 7610 can support though.

Mmm Its Out Of Stock!
#18
hmmm, doesn't say anywhere on the Nokia website that the N70 supports the 2GB RS-MMC? Can anyone confirm that it does?
#19
With latest firmware it does support 2GB RS-MMC, This has been discussed a few times on the main N770 threads.

I asked about the N70...not the N770!

I asked about the N70...not the N770!

Firstly N70 needs a DV RS-MMC also now known as MMC Mobile so these Datawrite ones are no use.

Whether 2GB is supported may depend on your phone firmware version, some reports on the nokia forum that 2GB Kingston DV card works OK but I'd buy from somewhere reputable that will exchange it if it doesn't work! Nokia forum ink below.

Top marks for SVP, this came back in stock yesterday afternoon, I ordered it, paid for Royal Mail 1st Class delivery and it arrived this morning! Oustanding service, if only other companies could be so reliable...I'll definitely be back, especially with the HotUKDeals discount linked on the OP!

Cheers,

gone...

Still no stock - anyone found stock and a good price elsewhere?

Cheers
#25
not yet.... :-(

Guys, if you haven't done so already then put your e-mail address into both the SVP and BigPockets site for a stock alert when they get more in. It's how I knew about this one to post the deal in teh first place. They don't spam you and purely let you know when that item is back in stock.

Good luck and if I see any elsewhere I'll post back here about it!

Cheers,

B.
