Kingston cards manufactured in Japan are actually made by Toshiba and are the fastest MicroSD cards available - important if you want to use it in a Nintendo DS.

Kingston cards made in Taiwan are made by some other company, and has you can expect from taiwanese manufactured products they are made as cheap as possible. They don't run as fast, but will be fine in a phone or something.

yes, especially if the device you are using it in is picky (e.g. R4DS).

Yes. I use the Japan version of this card with my R4DS cart. But remember with the R4DS you are limited to 2GB card only.

I have not noticed any difference of speed of this card against Sandisk. Never had any read/write issues either.

So you managed to get these for £34.35 inc vat and free del. If so could you please tell me how, if you didn't get it at that price or cheaper you paid for postage. Thanks

Very helpful article regarding compatibility here:

http://wiki.scorpei.com/index.php/R4_compatibility_list

Scroll to the bottom and it has information on ALL micro SD cards, apparently the newer Taiwan 2GB Kingston ones are A-OK for the problematic PoR

I ordered 2 x Kingston 2GB ones from Valueshop.com last week and it came to £14.50 for both incl shipping (shipping is 69p), I have yet to receive so dont know if they're Japan or Taiwan.

Still no comfirmation yet:?

still in stock, its saying there are 100 of these. just order one, this seems a good price, as I was looking around £6 plus £2 postage elsewhere.

I take it back, they have emailed and said they have not got the stock as their supplier delivery has been delayed....says 100 on the site think that is a little mis-leading
