Tempting very tempting.

mumbojumbo
Someone else bought this and found it wasn't new.http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/faulty-ram/844880

The one I got was fine. RAM is so cheap these days that not surprising that the odd board is faulty. Not much margin to pay for Quality Assurance activities.

Hi am tempted bit not sure if my xbmc install will benefit from going from 1gb to 2gb.

Was it second hand or faulty as very different things

If you are running XBMC on Windows 7 then it will benefit. Not sure about Linux or Live but guess it wont to any harm.

My Revo cam with 2Gb installed as a single chip. Adding extra 2 Gb has sped up windows operations significantly..

Is easy to install, best to use an old bank card to open the case to avoid damaging the plastic. You need to remove the screw which is underneath the stand and is covered by a warranty sticker. Think you can safely ignore the warranty sticker as installing extra RAM should not invalidate a warranty.

Irritating that this is more expensive then better RAM eg. Crucial / 2GB / PC3-10600 / 1333Mhz / DDR3 / 204pin SODIMM / Laptop Memory £14.49 @ Play
Is that because this isn't being produced in huge volumes like the newer stuff?
My revo came with 2x1GB, also annoying :(
