Mate your link doesn't work for me how much is it?

cheaper at play {broken link removed}

That's a different part number and not one that Crucial list if you search for compatible RAM.
#4
Its very tempting, just not sure I want to lose the warranty.

Fair enough, hope it's good for you - the price is great :)

So on the Revo are people just buying 1 stick of this to mix with the Hynix.

I can't speak for others but it's what I will do :)

i'll be doing the same too for my r3700 on 64bit. doubt ill have to use the warranty too, never had to claim on anything before.

£1.28 tracked on quidco

I have ordered 2 x sticks of this for my revo r3700. If anyone wants my stick of hynix (original ram), I will post it on the for sale section. That is when my new ram arrives.

That means someone will have a matching pair from just buying the single stick.

I'm not sure is that what is in the 3700? I have ordered the crucial 2gb stick to go with whatever is inside my unit

Just to confirm you have 2GB OEM (Hyundai) and 2GB Crucial - and both work fine together, including their speed ratings etc?

Mate, just tried this on my r3700 and it says ddr2. Thing is I ordered 2 x ddr3 that crucial suggested. Will that be ok.

Sure it should have ddr3 in it so will do a crucial scan and belarc.

EDIT- crucial says ordered the correct ram.
belarc didnt tell me much.
blackbox says ddr3.

{ CPU-Z screenshot }

If you go to the SPD tab it will indicate DDR3 - at least it's that way on my 3700. CPU-Z ultimately has to go on information that the underlying BIOS and other software layers provide and in particular I've noticed that there can be differences between the Memory and SPD tabs.

Could you post two screenshots from the SPD tab?

I also agree that the info is not always 100% accurate...but I didnt expect it to have DDR2 either!

looks alright - you'd need a tech guru to confirm what is actually different. But they are both compatible. Interestingly cpu-z is misinformed by the max bandwidth - as everywhere sites pc3-10600.
#28
also was it very easy to open up the 3700? You mentioned it's just one screw Anything else to be aware of? Thanks.

Does the plastic cover come on, off relatively easily?
#29
The cover is tight but I managed to pull it off with my nails rather than a screwdriver.
#30
yes its a doddle 1 screw then use a credit card to get the side off takes mins
#31
now even cheaper
#32
Just ordered the 2GB from Crucial for 15.61...and hopefully topcashback ..
Thanks for the feedback!
#33
and to confirm ram from crucial worked fine on acer revo 3700. Exactly as above.
#34
Just ordered this, although expired, the code still works.
Price with code is now 16.73.
