The speed rating usually only applies to the read speed and the card you linked to has a write speed of less than half its read speed whereas the Play one is supposedly rated for 20MB/Sec for writing as well, so they aren’t comparable.

Judging by the voting you are not alone. :)

Play have the SanDisk Extreme III 2GB at the same price so I’d rather go for the branded card. They also have larger capacity versions which have the same speed rating at £25 and £47 respectively for 4 and 8GB. Nice cards for a DSLR.
