Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with aspartame. Do some research on reliable sites and not scaremonger sites and you will easily see this.

Yeah, whatever Pinocchio (_;)

Trust me. 2L was reduced to £1. Call a farmfoods and ask. Don't think they have any left as they said it was limited stock.

£1.09 per litre for the Aldi High Juice No Sugar Added Blackcurrant Ribena equivalent, and that's the standard price, too.

And far from being an inferior product (before the brand-monkeys start) it's actually vastly superior with, roughly twice the blackcurrant juice content, as against the watery Ribena.

No indeed - Ribena is the Tesco Everyday Value version of the much-superior Aldi product. ;)

thanks for pointin this out. Didn't realise ribena was such a poor product.

Tesco high juice blackcurrant is 50% juice and £2.75 for 2L

Ribena is only 5%

Is asdas only 10% then?

As you say, Ribena really is a rubbish product. People continue to buy it because it's a 'big brand', heavily advertised, and because they're gullible.

but isnt that true of asdas juice being a rubbish product too if it has only 1/5th of the juice that tescos own brand contains?

Probably - but the one I was recommending was the Aldi version. 50% juice for £1.09 per litre. Ribena contains less than half that at 23% juice, and yet people still see it as superior.

Superior, as in 'beefburgers are superior to fillet steak' perhaps?

Don't need to, it's a fact.

The same as Asda Cola isn't as good as Coke... Morrisons lemonade isn't as good as Schweppes and Sainsburys imitation Hagen Dazs isn't as good as the real thing.......

According to the website it's £1.30 a litre - and only 45% juice. Better off at Aldi (50% juice and £1.09 a litre).
