I didn't doubt you it's just that Tesco sell milk by the pint not the litre .. so 1, 2 ,4 and 6 pints
and mark it in litres as 568ml, 1.136 ltr , 2.272ltr and 3.408ltr
#9
It is 2L as i bought it on Monday and couldn't believe it either. But is was Tesco Express.

good good hope you get some in your store.

I think this offer is in relation to their offer on 1litre milk 2 for £1.09

Weird - MySupermaket doesn't show any Tesco milk as being 2L bottles apart from the "Pure" range...

Yup, i noticed this a while back when i did a shop online with them.... I went to the ASDA site and it showed up there OK the milk, but via Moneysupermarket.com it only shows the branded milk..
Is this to encourage local Produce, buy local milk etc from the Supermarket??

No big deal. The Spar around the corner from me has been offering 2 litres for 90p for the past 3 or 4 months.
I won't vote cold, but I'm not falling over in delighted shock.

i know in belfast there were shops doing it for 99p

but note not every spar will do it for that price

i wouldn't call this a "hot deal" - it's a supermarket promotion.

A hot deal is finding something substantially cheap hidden away online so that others can take advantage of it - not strolling into a supermarket, noting down their BOGOF's or their half price promo's and posting them here! It's not the spirit of hotukdeals at all.... after all 38p saving, big deal. I'd rather see 5% off a £10 item - sure 5% doesn't sound much, but it beats the saving on this "deal".

This forum is fast becoming a supermarket advert for current promotions which is not the real reason why we all come here..... after all we could all just stroll into a supermarket and shop wisely.

A 5% saving on a £10 item is just 50p - on something you would buy once in a while - this is a 30% saving of 38p on something people buy everyday.. milk might be boring but this is a good deal and if you don't like the deal then just ignore it and move onto the next one, there's plenty to choose from and judging by the heat of this there are plenty of people that think this is a good deal.

cravendales only 99p at sainsburys at the mo.
#25
I only saw this label in Tesco last night but no stock...

It's fantastic that you're doing the job of supermarkets for them! In this current financial climate, supermarkets are really pushed for marketing funds, so it's brilliant that you're helping them out by doing their advertising for them.

Soon, we can flood this site with all supermarket promotions, I mean deals, and then you can all pat each other on the back.

yep it was pint but no this is was still going monday its not the weekend one, also cravendale lasts longer and tastes better (got milk for a couple weeks encase they do stop it) but it is 4 pints for £1

8 posts and 84 posts :whistling:..this may not be the reason YOU come here but for one anything that helps me make savings in my any day life is welcomed by me, as someone who is trying to get on their feet in the 'real world' after moving out of home.

Who says everyone wants to see dvd, xbox 360, ps3 deals etc but we still get them here and people, including myself appreciate them..so if you dont like supermarket deals move along and dont look at them:-D

STOP!

This is the whole problem with the penny pinching back-patting brigade :)

You're taking this site into bin scrubbing territory. You either don't understand how supermarket supply and promotions work, or you do but aspire to post every single item that might exist on a supermarket shelf onto this site.

You have to be realistic - and you have to have perspective.

You're not linking "deals" you're linking "promotions".

By linking promotions, you imply that people - me, others - are unable to signup for Tescos e-mail. You assume that we are unable to glance at the ads on TV. You assume that we're unable to look at the items on the aisles in the supermarket.

It's okay to be obsessed with savings - some people are made that way - and that's not being held against you, except when you post hilarious "offers" (like a tin of x y z for 18p) that to be honest deserves a giggle for being a waste of time and effort.

By posting supermarket promotions, hotukd is being pushed into a Church of Supermarket worship. Which waters down the value of this site and is turning it into a housewives forum.
#34
In my local Tesco (Chester) they're flogging 2x2 pints for £1.20. Should be 83p each. Anyhow, works out at 30p a pint instead of er.... 42p a pint. Even the cows are confused. Moooooooo :whistling:

The post is headed " MILK " no need to even read the post if you are not interested.

As others have suggested...just move on, nobody is forcing you to buy any milk.

What an astounding and robust counter-discussion. I just can't argue with that. You are truly pondlife in need of back-patting because you advertise on behalf of supermarkets.

A hundred more supermarket promos won't do a fraction of the damage that your increasingly abusive attitude already has.
