2p off Fuel - 134.7p for Petrol 139.7p for Diesel @ Asda from 10th May

KingBennethKingBenneth

We’re cutting another 2p off the price of petrol and diesel – leading the way in reducing the cost of fuel for the third time in three weeks.

From TOMORROW you’ll pay no more than 134.7p for a litre of unleaded and 139.7p per litre of diesel at any of the 196 Asda filling stations.

Still not sure why there is 5p between petrol and diesel. There's that gap in winter as diesel production is hampered by producing fuel oil for heating, but as of March/April, the gap is supposed to close back down to 2 or 3p - not this year though by the looks of things. Due to the drop in oil prices, this drop in prices should've happened 6 weeks ago. The government should do more to enforce the benefit of wholesale price drops affecting supply prices of petrol/diesel quickly - the prices go up within days of a rise in the price of crude. Lots of Asdas near me, including 2 huge ones, but they don't have petrol stations attached.

and waste a fiver of fuel waiting in line for 20 mins

You'd need to wait long than 20 mins to waste a fiver in fuel.

Maybe you should stop moaning about 2p savings and look at a more economical car.

Here we go again. Hardly going to save anyone a fortune.
Still can't believe the last post reached 1400+ for saving less than £2 on a full tank of very expensive petrol.

I don't understand why people are moaning about prices coming down? It's a start, things are starting to look promising. And people saying it's just because Asda are doing it due to the pressure from the media etc - I still praise Asda for taking the lead in these petrol cuts over the other supermarkets.

Alternatively, reach for the car key and turn the ignition off. Do you also have the handbrake off and foot on the brake pedal for said 20 minutes?
and what happens when i have to move,... use your brain before making comments like that ... if you use your brain, you would realise how much fuel is used up turning your ignition on and off every time you have to move

Do you drive a Hummer? My car uses a fifth of a gallon an hour when it's ticking over.

It would be better if Chavsda had enough filling stations, but there are none nearby so I'd waste more than I saved going there in the first place......

2p/litre makes very little difference overall and is not going to make anyone rich. This will save the average person around £25/year - Yay!......................................

I still have diesel receipts from 2009 when it was £1.03 per liter... to hike up this much maybe mp's should take a cut in pay and not get an allowance for there SECOND home' s and then they could afford not to charge us (the public aka lower people) so much tax on fuel. #rant over lol.

I originally included the 2p drop from last week too. Maybe you should get a calculator out or fix your fuel leak.
