2p off Fuel - pay no more than 136.7p for Petrol/ 141.7p for Diesel @ Asda
From (Friday 4th May) you will pay no more than 136.7p per litre for unleaded and 141.7p per litre for diesel at Asda.
We’re leading the way in passing on the savings from a drop in global oil prices. It’s our second price drop on fuel in three weeks and should be good news for hard-pressed motorists throughout the UK.
Unlike other retailers we do everything we can to reduce prices for all of our customers wherever you live.
Research taken from PetrolPrices.com shows that some retailers are getting away with charging up to 147.9p per litre for unleaded and 151.9p per litre for diesel in towns without an Asda nearby.

Go anywhere in Europe and you'll pay about the same as we do in the UK.
USA is a different story of course. But even over there, there is only so long they'll be able to keep their fuel prices so artificially low. Of course, the average American seems to think fuel comes from petrol trees, is free, and it'll stay cheap forever .......
If I filled my car from empty (48ltrs) with this deal, I'd save... wait for it...

The almighty sum of .... £1.54
You people are bonkers. Even a penniless tramp wouldn't leave his cardboard box for that.
Assuming you don't live next door to the supermarket, wouldn't it cost you more than the pound you'd save (assuming a 50l fuel tank) to go out there just to fill up?
lol

This is true of petrol, but not diesel. Every other european country (except Norway for some reason) pays less for diesel than petrol but we pay more
lol

I have never had anyone manage to explain this phenomenon to me, anyone?
SO 50 LITRES = 1 QUID SAVING.
IF SOME IS WILLING TO DRIVE TO ASDA AND BRING ME 50 LITRES I
WILL PAY THEM 2 QUID SO THEY WILL HAVE MADE A PROFIT.

Totally agree with you. The hysteria that a few pence off fuel can cause is baffling.

Good thing with ASDA their pricing strategy is national, so tends to bring other forecourt prices down and starts a price war.
Of course in a few days/weeks they could all be striking anyway. Who knows.

Bring on the revolution.
Wrapping it in foil reflects mind control rays, cling film reduces petrol consumption ... this is pretty basic physics come on people
Because foil protects you from the magnetising effect road which has become polarised from all the cars passing over it at high speed.
Try learning something before throwing your cling film wisdom around.
Cling film would increase the humidity inside the car therefore making it HEAVIER and increasing the fuel consumption which would offset any benefit.
Please tell me you're joking on both parts there before I shoot a hole the size of the moon in your theories! :p
Oh and heat added!
