Seems very cheap for 2TB. H&R.

Imagine how long it'd take to format that thing.

Unfortunately, if you check the rules on the sale on the website, you'll see that anyone who uses the words "bad boys" without at least being ironic is banned from buying one.

That's rather poor in all honesty. 7200RPM is pretty much the standard these days. At least it has a 32MB Cache i suppose
#24
Unexpired.
#25
Thanks.
#26
i wouldn't buy one looks like a test lot to me...:whistling:

Not at all, these are aimed at being used solely as large low-powered silent storage devices and not mega-fast boot drives with the OS and all programmes installed.

Though that is not to say that this device will not do that job though as it will ....

certainly murders the Western Digital 2TB Caviar Green by about 20%.;-)

Many people using drives of this size want them for media centres, so they want high storage and low spindle speed for low noise. Just depends what you're looking for really.
#30
Bet many get sold, then get "oops" email.
#31
only 50 though.. haha.

I wouldn't be wanting to run an OS from it, but it will be just fine for data, or sticking in a USB caddy.
#33
I,ll keep on eye on this deal and hopefully im quick enough...going to be good to see how quick it sells out.

Was thinking this myself. A very shrewd move by advertising the deal now which will no doubt generate alot of new users to their forums. However, 50 units is a very limited number of drives and i suspect will probably only be available to those in the know around that community.
#35
not as good as the samsung f3 for speeds which is a shame.
#36
Very good deal. Would be great 4 me as my 1.5 tb seems to be breaking and I could backup that to the 2tb then get other sent off. This would mean I would end up with a mad amount of space but u can never have enough right.

Does anyone know how much sound this makes when being used?
Cheers

But you won't be able to add it to your basket until the item is 'in stock' though so in other words you can't do it before 1.30pm!

Good luck

What if someone wanted to buy one before then, at the full price, they wont be able to, just because of this offer? Doesnt seem good business sense.
