Wouldn't recommend a seagate. They still suffer from the click of death.

Had one of these from Maplin, click of death.

Awful customer service when getting a replacement - took 3 weeks because it was returned after 28 days. They insist on sending the hard disk away even though it's obviously screwed.

Would never buy from Maplin again. Electronics specialist? My ****. The staff either don't know crap, or aren't allowed to use their knowledge to fix customer service issues.

The thing is you can get a 2TB western digital for 79.99 from Currys/PCWorld so it's not that great a bargain is it?

Bought a Hitachi for backing stuff up at work. Very good bit of kit.
