(Comment removed, but quoted below for reference).

GQ Man has found that TheHut.com product does not (presently) allow the use of their 10% discount code.

Sorry if my previous comment has lead to any cold voting, or no voting at all, Alena.

A "PSN Live Card 20.00" [a combination of a PlayStation Network Card & an Xbox LIVE Points Card, obviously! ;)] at TheHut.com is £15.73.

The product is also out of stock (as it is at the other sites, such as Zavvi.com, in The Hut Group).

However, the current "10% off everything" voucher code for TheHut.com ("NWDCOL") means that two £20 card purchases (£15.73 x 2 = ) £31.46 - 10% = £28.31.

i am not sure if QuidCo is appropriate for these items.

Zavvi Cashback rates are presently...

2% for Electronics, Computing, Games Consoles
2.5% for CDs
7.5% for Lingerie, Health & Beauty
10% for Gifts
3% for Blu-ray, Books
3.5% for Games
3% for DVDs

I'm guessing this would probably be grouped with Games, so 3.5% QuidCo cashback.

The Hut Cashback rates are the same anyway (unless the item is a "Gift")...

2% for Games Consoles, Computing, Electronics
2.5% for CDs
7.5% for Lingerie, Health and Beauty
3.5% for Games
3% for Books, DVDs and Blu-Ray

So, in summary, TheHut.com is cheaper by 59 pence.

Not a lot, but enough to not warrant the addition of "heat".

Sorry :(

BFN,

fp.

Code does not work on that item from the HUT not for me anyway.

That is weird! The code does not seem to be working for me (now) either.

It does still work on a Blu-ray Disc movie I added to my basket as a test though.

OK, I'll retract what I said above; the Zavvi deal is the better deal; so "heat" added accordingly.

Thanks for pointing that out... but may be worth trying again in the future just in case it is a glitch with TheHut.com at present.

To add insult to injury, you were slating another user for posting the same thing that was out of stock :whistling:

Yeah that is weird as i went for the 2100 Xbox 360 points earlier and the code worked, but not for this PSN Card, so i done the Zavvi deal instead.

99% of deals that go out of stock should be expired. But I think there should be exceptions. This is one of them. I have found that even though Hut say out of stock they normally fulfull orders for these PSN cards within a week or two. So it's still worth placing the order at the deal price. It's just that Hut's stock communication is not as sophistocated as it could be.
#8
Ive ordered also. I order quite regularly from Zavvi and if an item has been tempoparily out of stock then it does come eventually. Cracking price with the code and have ordered, many thanks OP

I love this site and it's forum chat which is often very funny. But I have learned to largely ignore deals that are manager's specials or very store/branch specific posts. These have often resulted in wild goose chases where deals weren't nationwide. Even for nationwide deals, some smaller stores within a branch network, don't stock the items listed on this site. So it's a case of sorting out the wheat from the chaff - we are bargain hunters after all. Though I hope hotukdeals gets a return for the revenue it produces for these stores. I have spent so much from this site. And I think of any site on the web, hotukdeals have changed the lives of me, my partner and children through some of the treats I have bought them that I would never have thought of or been able to afford. So thanks hotukdeals.

I was going to post this last week, but didn't bother due to it being 'out of stock'

Hot from me anyway, as I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks to get these - I can always use cheap PSN credit
#12
This code only works for me if i put 3 in the basket , then it gives me 3.99 off

this happening to anyone else
#13
If I add one of these £15.95 and GOW collection £17.95, I can't use the code. If I add 2 GoW or 2 PSN cards then I can? I thought the code was £3 off £30 weird how it works, I thought maybe as the game was a pre-order it wasn't working but that makes no sense if adding 2 does? lol

I am a regular customer of these stuff as I have a number of mates outside UK wanted this. Yes this is normally the case however this time I ordered 10 from thehut on 1 Apr still awaiting stock pick. Since its same company just hope I am not waiting another month in this deal

That's not the point.

Let's all post deals that are out of stock and wait three months to get it, I'd rather pay the £40 and have it straight away!

By then, the stuff I wanted to buy on PSN have been removed. It's out of stock now, so, like I said. I don't see the point.

This should be expired IMO.

Items listed on the PlayStation Store are rarely removed (unless they are time-limited offers, have been listed too early [and are then re-listed at their correct release date], or a fault is found with the title).

Over time they are reduced in price, sometimes for a limited period of time, often permanently.

Products at the Zavvi web site that are "out of stock" may well be available again within the next day, next few days, or possibly weeks, and yes, even months or not be available ever again.

Before dismissing this deal perhaps an interested party should contact Zavvi to gain their suggestion of when the items are likely to be re-stocked. If this durations is a matter of days, rather than weeks or longer then I would suggest the deal should remain. If, however, it is weeks or months before stock will be available again then, yes, this deal should be expired (with the potential to unexpire when the products are available again).

I've ordered PSN cards from Zavvi when they've been out of stock and they turned up a couple of weeks later. As long as you aren't in a hurry for some cards, you'll struggle to get a better deal than this.

The guy on the last page has nearly been waiting a month for this!
#20
I've orded psn cards from zavvi and the hut numerous times and alot of those times they were out of stock.
If it takes a month for them to come it doesnt matter to me because I stock up on them before I run out, and at these prices its certainly worth doing.

I wouldn't blame zavvi/thehut about the long delivery times for this product because its such a cracking deal compared to anywhere else, they are overloaded with orders and are bound to find it hard to restock them.

m8 there are three main reasons that it doesn't matter

1. zavvi don't charge until they dispatch (they only take an order)
2. people have stated that they do eventually come
3. If you were really in a rush to buy something on psn you'd just use your credit/debit card (which you would need to order this from zavvi anyway)

£11.10 for free I personally wouldn't mind waiting

sorry if i confused you guys, normally they come in my door in 10 days from ordering even it says out of stock. Just for this time they are a little naughty in stock picking.

You can always link a creditcard to psn account, if there is anything you want worth over £5 just pay with card. below £5 they will keep the remaining amount in credit in your account
ordered another 20 pieces with zavvi already, a bit fed up with the waiting. wont be selling on fleabay, just a group of mates oversea wanted to shop on PSN UK and I wont give them my card details :-D

Eh? Doesn't matter to you, yeah.

I know they eventually come, when did I say that they don't turn up?

I know they don't charge until it's sent, so unsure what your point is with that, no one has questioned this, so I don't know why you've made those three points, pretty much irrelevant.

I'm saying, if it takes months to come then it isn't a deal and some people like me don't want to wait forever. I don't want to wait to save a tenner just as much as you do want to.

So let's leave it at that.

Digital distribution is going to ruin gaming. Do not buy this product if you enjoy buying and selling games. No more Gamestation or other game shops if this online game downloading is the future.

Very true.

Sadly, I think this will be the future.

I personally prefer having a real disc and case infront of me, I guess it shows that I bought something.

lol

With vouchers a deal is a deal regardless of when the it is received; why, because they wont go down in value regardless of how long you wait a £40 voucher right now (yes this very moment) is going to be a £40 voucher in a years time meaning that you can still purchase £40 worth of content on the PSN. The fact that you and people like you don't want to wait a month or whatever period it takes doesn't not change the fact that a £40 voucher purchased for £28.90 is a deal .

If this was a game I would totally understand your point as they decrease in value from the moment they are purchased/ released. thats why a £29.99 "deal" on a new release like dark void in the situation where you would receive it in a month would not be a good deal. however, as stated before we are not talking about games we are talking about value retentive vouchers.

like I said I don't mind waiting a while in order to save £10 or in other words getting some free games & dlc.

I see your point but largely they are used for DLC and add ons for existing games bought in a shop or online or for small independent games that wouldnt get a cat in hells chance of being published (like the pixeljunk series on PS3 or Geometry Wars on 360 )
The PC scene is a different kettle of fish with Pirates all but killing off games being sold in shops and a hell of a lot of stuff goes on Steam now as a result . But would they need to do this if so many toe-rags weren't chipping their 360's and Wii's .

My god, what are you on about.

I'm not saying it isn't a good deal, it clearly is.

It's not a deal in regards TO THIS SITE.

People look at this site for in stock things that they can buy straight away and this isn't one of them. I thought the idea of this site is to post the best deal, this isn't in stock, therefore is irrelevant to a place that IS in stock, understand?

Me saying it isn't a deal is refering to the fact that people have to wait for this to come so it isn't a deal in regards to this site.

You wish to wait, I do not.

End of story.

I know where you are coming from. If someone posts a product and says that it is out of stock then i would normally agree that it is not a deal.

Same when you get all the posts about how a specific deal was cheaper 6mths ago. I didn't buy it then, I'm buying it now!!

So i agree that you are entitled to your opinion. However it DOES belong on this site as it has just saved me a tenner. I don't need it at the moment but i do want one to keep handy and I am prepared to wait as this seems to be the norm for Zavvi.

If it wasn't posted on here i wouldn't have noticed it. So thanks tp the OP. I am sure the other 500+ that have voted it hot agree

The stores in The Game Group seem to be bringing about their own downfall regardless of digital distribution reducing their revenue:

GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter

Ofcourse its a deal. Whether or not its in stock or not doesn't matter. When it's instock your going to get it for the price you ordered it at. People look for deals...that doesn't mean they have to be in stock if eventually the order will be fulfilled. If you dont wish to wait thats upto you, but to say its not a deal worth posting on the site is wrong. If saving over a Tenner for £40 worth of psn cards isnt a good deal to post on this site then what is?
#35
Thanks - great deal

He's right about placing a order even if they do get cancelled because you have the chance of getting them and if you get them you £11 worth of content for free which could be the new COD map pack for free.

58p TCB has tracked but I've not had any dispatch e-mail, that was quick :w00t:

So that will be £28.32 in total for £40 of credit.

According To Zavvi site. My order is "awaiting stock pick". Should be with me by end of next week.
