wow. nice price. very tempting, but i think ill wait for it to get under £150

Nice but not as good as the 2 x 1.5tb deal imo.
Prices are going down. everything else still applies to when these were posted before see previous deals.

Next price points are 1tb F3 getting to £40 (£48) and 1.5TB F2 getting to £50(£58)

Hopefully the new 3TB drives from Segate that have just come out will start putting more downward pressure on the price of 2TB drives.

i can't understand why there are 300 GB Drives that cost this much.

Don't be deceived - prices of other makes are not going down much.

The only reason these are dropping is because they are non-EU stock brought in by certain retailers at dumping prices.

They have no manufacturers warranty - only what the individual retailer claims - which is OK by UK Consumer legislation. Buit maybe expect to have some issues after the first year if your drive fails - because Sansung UK will not touch these drives!

I would save or print out the web page where SCAN state 36 months warranty for proof - you might need it later!

Wow great price! Significant price drop on the £85 single drive DotD offer a few weeks ago.

The 3TB drives have just been announced at $250 so approx £200 (inc vat), so I'm not sure how much extra downward price pressure they are going to apply short term. In the 2TB range it seems only the ECO models are slipping below the £90 mark at the moment.

Weve been through this before. The warranty is dealt with via scan, ring them. The rpice of hard drives will continues to drop and yes other peoples drives are falling. This time next year you will get more gb per £ its just how it goes.

These drives have aids. Why do you think scan are busting out with all these reductions all of a sudden?

4Tb HDD in 12 months people. speed will be about the same tho, so it will take ages to fill / back up.

Great deal but can I just say that this deal works out more for people who don't post to the selected forums, just give us all free delivery unless Scan & Aria just want these forums filling up with crap just to get it delivered free.

Voted hot but won't be buying from either SCAN or ARIA (Hope your reading this) as I don't agree with the way one set of customer pay for the others delivery. Give us all free delivery or charge less.

RANT OVER :x

You don't need porn, get Machine Girl or similar.

I took advantage of this deal as I have a PC with a 2x500GB RAID 0 array that I'd like to replace with the Crucial C300 64GB as the boot drive and one of these Samsung drives as the secondary one plus the other drive in an esata caddy for backups. However I'm thinking I've made an error due to the performance of this drive, although the SSD is going to be the boot drive the Samsung 2TB is going to have large amounts of data written to it. Looking at the graphs the Samsung seems fine for storing large amounts of data but not at speed, how do any owners of the drive find it?

Thanks,
John
