Why is this a 'Deal' ? these enclosures are around this price anyway, aren't they? and it's not on offer on the site u linked.

for reference, here is one cheaper and it looks better...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/L803B-Drive-Enclosure-External-Black/dp/B000V8KQE6

This is pretty cold if you ask me

I don't know if it is a good deal, but a very similar enclosure to this is at Maplin at £29 so in comparison it is a reasonable price.

Agreed, cold. You can buy similar from http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149273

Is it me or the people who are moaning this is not cheap have linked to items that are more expensive?

These are only worth a tenner. Although i get mine on ebay, and i know you're not allowed to post ebay deals.

Not the same functionally as the OP's one Blasphemous, since the OP's is IDE and SATA. I doubt anyone would really need one that does both though, once a drive's in it why would you bother swapping them around? You can get cables for a few quid that'll let you temporarily connect a drive via USB, like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.474 so if you're going to swap around a lot that's probably a better option than getting the screwdriver out every time.

Either way though, silly to pay the same or more for something from DX. I like the place, but it's not exactly quick to ship stuff and as for RMAs...

My £13 one from ebuyer has eSATA and is a UK retailer...
